We are seeking a highly analytical, detail-oriented and relationship-driven individual to join our team as a Financial Analyst. \nIn this role, you will manage a portfolio of third-party properties, providing financial oversight, performance analysis, and exceptional client service. You will act as the primary liaison between property owners and StorageMart’s internal departments, ensuring that each TPM property achieves operational and financial success. \nThis is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a rapidly expanding business line and help shape the future of StorageMart’s TPM practice.\n\nWhat You’ll Do:\nPrepare and review monthly property financials, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and other supporting schedules upon request.\nNavigate the General Ledger and Accounts Payable systems to locate supporting documentation and respond to owner inquiries.\nPrepare and monitor annual property budgets.\nSupport annual audits and tax filings.\nAnalyze financial and operational data to assess property performance and identify opportunities for improvement.\nServe as the primary point of contact for property owners, maintaining strong, positive relationships through proactive communication.\nMaintain client dashboard to stay current on requests.\nCollaborate cross-functionally with internal teams (Marketing, Revenue Management, Operations, etc.) to address owner requests and provide accurate, timely information.\nDemonstrate a thorough understanding of StorageMart’s marketing, revenue management, value coverage, and operational processes to discuss them confidently with property owners.\nTrain and mentor future TPM team members as the program expands.\nRepresent StorageMart at national trade shows, building relationships with new and existing owners.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\n\nWhat We’re Looking For:\nAssociate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.\n3–4 years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, or financial reporting experience, preferably in property management, real estate, or a multi-entity business environment.\nPrevious client service or customer relationship experience preferred.\nStrong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.\nExceptional organizational skills with high attention to detail.\nHighly motivated team player with collaborative mentality.\nExcellent oral and written communication skills.\nStrong interpersonal skills, with the ability to have difficult conversations.\nAbility to manage and interpret large data sets and communicate them effectively.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams, Word).\nHands-on experience using AI tools to pull together data from multiple sources and answer complex questions.\nComfortable working in a deadline-driven environment with the flexibility to work evenings or weekends if needed.\nThis is an on-site position based in Columbia, MO.\n\nNeeded Availability\nIn office in Columbia, MO Monday-Friday 8:00a-5:00p\n\nPhysical Requirements:\nExerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.\nRepetitive motion.
