{"id":3656409,"url":"https://alion.io/job/manica-group-namibia-freight-coordinator","title":"Freight Coordinator","company":{"id":4495731,"name":"Manica Group Namibia","domain":null,"url":"https://alion.io/company/manica-group-namibia","size_band":null,"is_staffing_agency":false,"employer_type":"direct","is_intermediary":false,"listed_via":null,"ats_vendor":"Simplify","truth_index":null},"role":"Administrative","role_family":"Administrative","seniority":"junior","employment_type":null,"work_mode":"on_site","remote_scope":null,"remote_scope_basis":null,"remote_working_hours":null,"hiring_geo_confidence":"structured","locations":["Walvis Bay, Namibia"],"countries":["NA"],"hiring_countries":[],"hiring_countries_total":0,"salary":null,"salary_estimate":null,"experience_years_min":2,"visa_sponsorship":false,"relocation_package":false,"has_equity":false,"technologies":[{"name":"Microsoft Office","optional":false}],"status":"live","first_seen_at":"2026-10-09T00:00:00Z","employer_posted_date":"2026-11-03","last_verified_at":"2026-11-03T16:01:11Z","board_verified":true,"closed_at":null,"days_open":25,"trust":{"level":"ok","repost_count":null,"flags":[],"days_open":25},"description":"Primary PurposeTo support efficient, compliant, cost-effective, and customer-focused freight services through accurate coordination, use of systems and data, stakeholder communication, adherence to procedures, resource awareness, and responsible personal conduct.\nKey Responsibilities include but are not limited to:\nCoordinate end-to-end shipment movements, including imports, exports, transit shipments, warehousing, cargo releases, deliveries, collections, and transport scheduling.\nTake ownership of assigned customer accounts, managing the full shipment cycle while understanding customer needs, anticipating requirements, and ensuring consistent service delivery.\nPlan, prioritise, monitor, and execute shipment activities within agreed timelines, service standards, customer expectations, and departmental performance targets.\nIdentify operational risks, assist in resolving routine shipment issues, communicate corrective actions, and escalate complex, high-risk, financial, compliance, or reputational matters when required.\nCheck and apply Incoterms, customs requirements, trade regulations, documentation requirements, permits, and country-specific procedures before shipment execution.\nMaintain accurate shipment records, job files, supporting documents, and audit-ready compliance information.\nDemonstrate responsibility and commitment by adhering to the ISO standards to which MGN is certified in all assigned duties.\nAssist with resolving customs, compliance, documentation, and operational control queries while escalating exceptions appropriately.\nUse CargoWise, ASYCUDA, Microsoft Office, and relevant logistics systems to capture, update, and maintain shipment information, documentation flow, job files, and operational instructions accurately.\nMaintain data integrity by ensuring operational costs, supplier charges, quotations, job costing, invoicing information, and shipment milestones are captured correctly.\nProvide accurate shipment, costing, supplier, and customer information to support practical decisions, service delivery monitoring, and continuous improvement.\nBuild effective working relationships with customers, shipping lines, transporters, airlines, agents, suppliers, service providers, finance, and internal stakeholders.\nCommunicate clearly and professionally, provide practical logistics solutions, and support a customer-focused service culture.\nContribute to process improvement, knowledge sharing, change readiness, and the consistent application of operational standards within the department.\nPrepare accurate quotations and cost estimates, review routing and service options for cost-effectiveness, and maintain awareness of supplier tariffs and charges.\nVerify supplier invoices and shipment costs, ensure alignment between quotations, job costing and invoicing, and support cost recovery and discrepancy resolution.\nCoordinate bookings, schedules, transport arrangements, supplier follow-ups, and workflow priorities to support efficient use of time, costs, systems, and operational resources.\nDemonstrate personal leadership through accountability, professionalism, initiative, ethical conduct, and ownership of assigned responsibilities.\nSupport team effectiveness by collaborating constructively, sharing operational knowledge, assisting colleagues where appropriate, and contributing to a positive, service-driven work environment.\nCommunicate reliably with stakeholders, follow up on agreed actions, support problem-solving, and escalate matters that may affect service delivery, compliance, cost, or customer relationships.\n Minimum Requirements:NQF Level 5 (Certificate or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Freight Forwarding, Transport Management or equivalent;
