The organization currently manages millions of hectares of marine areas and is continuing to expand its impact through a combination of conservation, community development, and commercially sustainable enterprises.\nAs part of their ongoing growth, they are expanding their team in the Philippines and looking for a proactive, highly motivated Maintenance Technician to join their dynamic team.\nThis is an exciting opportunity for a driven professional to support the operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of mud crab and sea cucumber hatchery facilities, ensuring reliable equipment performance and efficient, uninterrupted operations.\nDuties and Responsibilities:\nEquipment Operation & Maintenance\nOperate, inspect, maintain, and repair hatchery equipment, including pumps, blowers, filtration systems, UV sterilisers, ozone systems, protein skimmers, compressors, aeration systems, generators, lab equipment and associated life-support equipment\nPerform routine preventative maintenance in accordance with maintenance schedules\nDiagnose mechanical and electrical faults and carry out timely repairs\nCoordinate with external contractors and suppliers for specialised servicing when required\nFacility Maintenance\nMaintain hatchery buildings, plumbing systems, water distribution systems, drainage, tanks, valves, and associated infrastructure\nSupport installation and commissioning of new equipment and systems\nEnsure maintenance tools, spare parts, and workshop areas are organised and in good condition\nMonitor consumables and recommend procurement of spare parts and maintenance supplies\nOperational Support\nRespond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergency maintenance requirements\nAssist hatchery staff with equipment operation and troubleshooting\nSupport commissioning activities and system performance testing\nEnsure critical life-support systems remain operational at all times\nHealth, Safety & Documentation\nFollow workplace health and safety procedures during all maintenance activities\nMaintain maintenance logs, inspection records, and repair reports\nEnsure compliance with hatchery SOPs and Good Aquaculture Practices (GAqP)\nRequirements\nDiploma, Technical Certificate, or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Technology, Electromechanical Technology, or a related discipline\nMinimum 3 years of experience in equipment maintenance, preferably within aquaculture, water treatment, food processing, manufacturing, or other industrial facilities\nStrong troubleshooting skills for mechanical and electrical systems\nExperience with water pumps, blowers, piping systems, valves, electrical control panels, and generators\nStrong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail\nAble to work independently and respond effectively during equipment emergencies\nGood teamwork and communication skills.\nGood written and spoken English and Filipino\nAdvantageous or Nice-to-Have Skills/Experience:\nAbility to read technical drawings and equipment manuals\nBasic welding, fabrication, electrical and plumbing skills","description_format":"text","description_chars":4233,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":null,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[{"language":"English","level":"All levels","optional":false}]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":[],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-09-24T06:48:56Z"}],"liveness":{"score":52,"band":"ok","label":"Likely open","p_open":1,"p_active":0.516,"p_room":1,"age_days":0,"expected_fill_days":60,"reasons":["conf:1","agency","win:early"],"computed_at":"2026-09-24T13:17:13Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/manila-recruitment-maintenance-technician","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/manila-recruitment-maintenance-technician.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-09-24T13:17:13Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers"}}
