As a Mortgage Broker Assistant, you will support the end-to-end backend operations of the mortgage process, ensuring loan applications move smoothly from preparation to settlement. This includes managing CRM updates, document collection, application preparation, and lender follow-ups.
You will take ownership of the pipeline, proactively keeping deals on track while also supporting process improvements to help the business scale efficiently.

As a single-broker growing business now expanding, they are growing their team in the Philippines and are looking for a Mortgage Broker Assistant to support the end-to-end backend operations of their lending process. This role will work directly and closely with the founder, providing hands-on support as their sole assistant in the business. As the business continues to grow, there may be opportunities to collaborate with additional team members down the track.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Keep client and loan information updated and accurate in Connective Mercury
- Manage the loan pipeline and make sure all applications are moving forward on time
- Follow up on required documents and ensure everything is complete before submission
- Prepare and organize loan applications based on lender requirements
- Coordinate with lenders and other stakeholders for updates and follow-ups
- Handle post-settlement tasks, such as scheduling client check-ins (e.g., 6- and 12-month reviews, rate checks)
- Spot delays or issues early and take action to keep deals on track
- Help improve processes and workflows, especially within Mercury
- Support in organizing backend operations to make work more efficient
- Provide general admin support to keep daily operations running smoothly
Requirements
Must-have Skills / Qualifications:
- Proven experience in the Australian mortgage broking industry
- Strong ownership mindset with the ability to work independently
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
- Proactive and process-driven, with the ability to identify gaps and improve workflows
- Comfortable working in a growing business where systems are still being built
Advantageous Skills / Experience:
- Hands-on experience with Connective Mercury CRM (strong advantage)
