Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Engineering, this position is located in Manitowoc, WI, on the shores of Lake Michigan.\nESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS\nAssignments may involve new product design, product improvements, test analysis, production liaison and service liaison utilizing a variety of engineering disciplines.\nResolve design issues identified by manufacturing, test, customer and warranty feedback.\nUtilize CAD software to design components and systems to implement solutions.\nPrepare concept sketches, layouts, models, drawings, and specification documents as required.\nWork with Senior Engineers to complete design reviews, FEA analysis, FMEA analysis, cost reduction and system optimization efforts.\nAssist with planning and coordination of component and system test and/or validation.\nPrepare reports on basic analysis, test, performance, schedule and cost information as required.\nAssist other departments in preparation of manuals and sales literature on assigned projects.\nMaintain close contact and coordinate activities with other groups within the Product Engineering department.\nCommunicate with management, team members, and production staff across a variety of media.\nAbility to perform job functions in a safe manner and complete all safety training required.\nMust wear all Personal Protective Equipment (P.P.E.) required for the job being performed.\nJOB REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering is required. \nExperience with 3D Engineering software required; preferably Creo.\nGeneral knowledge of mechanical systems and engineering principles.\nFamiliarity with Microsoft Office programs such as Word and Excel required.\nExperience with construction, agricultural or heavy equipment, and/ or hands on mechanical experience preferred.\nThis position will be located in a normal office environment with exposure to the manufacturing shop floor and product test environments as required. \nTravel required up to 10% of the time. \nOther Duties:\nPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
