{"id":1184446,"url":"https://alion.io/job/mann-hummel-traffic-coordinator","title":"Traffic Coordinator","company":{"id":450543,"name":"Mann+Hummel","domain":"mann-hummel.com","url":"https://alion.io/company/mann-hummel-2","size_band":"5000+","is_staffing_agency":false,"employer_type":"direct","is_intermediary":false,"listed_via":null,"ats_vendor":"SuccessFactors","truth_index":null},"role":"Administrative","role_family":"Administrative","seniority":"junior","employment_type":null,"work_mode":"on_site","remote_scope":null,"remote_scope_basis":null,"remote_working_hours":null,"hiring_geo_confidence":"structured","locations":["Lake Wales, United States"],"countries":["US"],"hiring_countries":[],"hiring_countries_total":0,"salary":null,"salary_estimate":{"min_usd":37000,"max_usd":65000,"period":"year","method":"role_seniority_country_remote_cell","sample_n":1107},"experience_years_min":2,"visa_sponsorship":false,"relocation_package":false,"has_equity":false,"technologies":[{"name":"Microsoft Office","optional":false}],"status":"live","first_seen_at":"2026-09-09T00:00:00Z","employer_posted_date":"2026-09-09","last_verified_at":"2026-09-25T17:52:35Z","board_verified":true,"closed_at":null,"days_open":17,"trust":{"level":"ok","repost_count":null,"flags":[],"days_open":17},"description":"Role Summary\nThe Traffic / Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the efficient movement of inbound and outbound freight while supporting daily shipping, receiving, transportation, and logistics activities.\nThe ideal candidate is highly organized, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, and comfortable resolving transportation and shipping issues as they arise.\nEssential Duties\nCoordinate and schedule inbound and outbound freight, including LTL, FTL, parcel, and expedited shipments.\nSchedule carrier pickups and deliveries based on production schedules, customer requirements, and shipping priorities.\nCommunicate daily with carriers, freight brokers, suppliers, customers, and internal departments regarding shipment status.\nObtain freight quotes and assist with selecting appropriate carriers based on cost, service, availability, and delivery requirements.\nTrack shipments and proactively address delays, missed pickups, delivery issues, or other transportation concerns.\nPrepare and maintain shipping documentation, including bills of lading (BOLs), packing lists, shipping labels, delivery documentation, and other required records.\nVerify shipping information for accuracy prior to shipment.\nCoordinate dock appointments and maintain daily shipping and receiving schedules.\nWork closely with Shipping, Receiving, Inventory, Production, Planning, Customer Service, and Purchasing to support customer and operational requirements.\nEnsure customer-specific routing and transportation requirements are followed.\nAssist with freight claims, damaged shipments, shortages, and discrepancies.\nAdditional responsabilities\nReview freight invoices and assist with identifying billing or rate discrepancies.\nMaintain accurate transportation and shipment records within applicable ERP, TMS, or internal systems.\nMonitor open orders and shipments to ensure customer delivery expectations are met.\nCommunicate urgent shipment requirements and transportation issues to appropriate leadership.\nSupport expedited freight requests while identifying opportunities to minimize unnecessary premium freight costs.\nMaintain positive working relationships with carriers and logistics partners.\nAssist with monitoring carrier performance, including on-time pickup and delivery.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives related to freight cost, transportation efficiency, shipping processes, and customer service.\nEnsure logistics activities comply with company policies, safety requirements, customer requirements, and applicable transportation regulations.\nProvide administrative and operational support to the Logistics and Supply Chain teams as needed.\nPerform other duties as assigned based on business needs.\nExperience and Education\nHigh school diploma or GED required.\nAssociate degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field preferred.\n2+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, shipping, receiving, traffic coordination, or a related manufacturing/distribution environment preferred.\nExperience working with freight carriers, brokers, and transportation providers strongly preferred.\nManufacturing or distribution experience preferred.\nSkills and Abilities\nIn-depth knowledge of shipping, transportation, and logistics operations\nExpertise in LTL, FTL, parcel, and expedited freight services - Proficient in handling bills of lading, freight documentation, and carrier scheduling\nExcellent organizational and time-management abilities\nCapable of prioritizing various shipments and requests in a dynamic setting -
