A person with great energy and attention to detail is required to manage all the unique aspects of customer orders and the specific requests made by customers. In addition to entering orders and responding to customer calls and inquiries, this individual works with scheduling and shipping internally to meet customer order needs, provides communications to customers regarding their orders, and facilitates intercompany orders globally. Additional responsibilities of this role include representing customers at scheduling meetings, helping to coordinate both domestic and international shipments, and assisting with improving the local order entry process.\nJOB RESPONSIBILITIES\nManage customer orders\nEnsure purchase order information from customer is complete\nWork with Supply Chain / Scheduling to communicate order details and set ship dates\nEnter customer orders in ERP system\nIssue all documents relevant to the Sales process (Order Confirmation, shipping documents, invoices, pro-forma invoices)\nCommunicate special requests\nObtain shipping details and freight quotes\nTrack customer orders and facilitate expediting if required\nCommunicate order updates to sellers and/or customers\nSend shipment confirmation to sellers and customers within 24 hours of shipment\nRespond to customer requests\nSupport sales professionals when requested\nRepresent customers at scheduling meetings\nFacilitate the global intercompany ordering process\nDocument and improve order management process and associated work instructions\nDocument and track customer pricing and regular customer requests\nWorking with a cross-functional team, develop recommendations and help to implement processes and programs to improve on time deliveries to 95%\nOther duties as assigned.\nREQUIREMENTS\nEducation:\nHigh school diploma or GED\n\nExperience:\n3-5 years prior experience in a Customer Service/Inside Sales role\n\nRequired Skills:\nMicrosoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)\n\nStrong English communication and presentation skills\n\nStrong phone contact handling skills and active listening\n\nCustomer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters\n\nAbility to multi-task, prioritize, respond to customer needs quickly, and manage time effectively\n\nAttention to Detail\n\nPreferred Education, Experience & Skills:\nBachelor's degree\nExperience in similar role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment\n\nSAP ERP System knowledge\n\n#LI -
