This position participates in 8D resolution, scrap reduction, downtime reduction, new process development including updates to the process FMEA, control plan, and production flow plans\nMain Tasks\nResponsible for leading, problem resolution, and report out status of assigned project with the goal of achieving hourly Takt Time targets\nResponsible for managing internal engineering changes including tracking costs, assessing resources, and achieving deadline requirements.\nOriginates statements of work specifications for existing revised machines and fixtures.\nAttends new design proposals reviews and makes recommendations regarding manufacturability, and compatibility with current manufacturing operations.\nAttends layout reviews for new products and makes recommendations for process flow, product assembly, and equipment.\nPerforms time studies, line balancing and implements improvements “Kaizen.”\nPerforms internal process development of new, with Production Engineering, and existing tooling\nReviews the performance of any process changes or machine improvements with the Quality department to ensure compliance with customer requirements. \nPerforms revisions to the process FMEA, control plan, and production flow for design change.\nLeads customer run at rate with support from Production Engineer.\nAssists Production engineering for customer run at rates for new programs\nMaintains required skills through training and studying of engineering and technical publications to keep current on technological changes and developments in the industry.\nPerforms Investigation and implementation of counter measures to any internal and external quality or safety concerns.\nPerforms activities in a positive and professional manner.\nMaintains an acceptable attendance record to ensure timely work completion.\nMust have knowledge of and adhere to the current Quality and Environmental Systems requirements that relate to this job\nYour Profile\nEducation:\nA Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience\nExperience:\n3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, process engineering, industrial maintenance, or a related technical role within a manufacturing environment preferred.\nDemonstrated hands-on experience troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving mechanical equipment and manufacturing process issues.\nExperience identifying root causes of equipment failures, production inefficiencies, and quality concerns, and implementing effective corrective actions.\nExperience improving manufacturing equipment, tooling, fixtures, and production processes to reduce downtime, scrap, and cycle times.\nWorking knowledge of mechanical systems, machining processes, and industrial manufacturing
