The role of a landscaper is to build and maintain gardens, parks and other outdoor landscapes.\nJob Responsibilities:\nBe able to understand and follow written and verbal instructions from the crew leader and clients\nPlants new flowers, trees, grass, hedges and bushes\nMaintains gardens and lawns, including mowing, trimming, pruning, raking and weeding\nWaters plants and lawns and adds fertiliser as needed\nInstalls outdoor lighting, irrigation systems and sprinkler systems\nBuilds and renovates stone pathways, patios and ledges\nLoading and unloading equipment and tools into work vehicles\nDrives work vehicles to and from sites\nAdheres to all safety precautions\nUses equipment, including tractors, mowers, and leaf blowers.\nAdvising others on the long-term care and development of a landscape\nBe in touch with new products within the industry to be able to always be number one in our industry\nRequirements:\nMust have experience using power tools and machinery such as chainsaws/bobcats/forklifters/highups/fertiliser spray etc\nKnowledge of horticulture methods and materials, landscaping and cultivation of trees and plants is an asset\nKnowledge of plant diseases and their cure\nAbility to use hand and power tools applicable to trade\nAbility to perform grounds maintenance tasks\nSkill in interpreting and completing landscape plans\nKnowledge of fertilizer and/or pesticide applications\nPassion for plants\nProblem-solving skills\nGood communication skills\nAbility to lift and manipulate heavy objects\nAbility to read, understand, follow and enforce safety procedures\nSpeak Maltese and/or English\nA valid driving license -
