All dates dependent upon the university schedule of the selected students. Internships are full-time and on-site in Los Angeles, CA.\nThe Mantari Software Engineering Internship provides an opportunity to work on the software systems that power next-generation sensor platforms and AI-driven weather intelligence, contributing directly to products deployed in defense and weather applications. Interns will join a fast-paced team environment, collaborating on software development, data pipelines, and deployment efforts across both cloud and edge computing environments.\nAs a lean, early-stage team, every contributor has a meaningful impact, and that includes our interns. You'll take on real ownership of projects, work directly alongside senior engineers, and see your contributions shape products that are actively being delivered to customers. We're dedicated to providing an experience that will let your decisions and contributions help drive Mantari's success.\nKey Responsibilities\nContribute to the development of software for sensor data ingestion, processing, and visualization across Mantari's platform\nSupport the design and implementation of APIs, microservices, and data pipelines for weather and radar applications\nWrite clean, tested code and participate in code reviews to maintain high engineering standards\nParticipate in design reviews and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to meet system and integration requirements\nSupport deployment and DevOps workflows, including CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure\nSupport field test operations, including software configuration, data collection, and remote debugging\nBasic Qualifications\nJunior or Senior academic standing\nCurrently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field\nStrong understanding of core software concepts, with completed coursework in:Data Structures and Algorithms\nOperating Systems\nDatabases or Systems Programming\n\nProficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, C/C++, or Rust)\nExperience with version control (Git) and collaborative development workflows\nStrong written and verbal communication skills and ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment\nBonus Qualifications\nPrevious internship or co-op experience in a technical role\nExperience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)\nFamiliarity with containerization (Docker), CI/CD pipelines, or infrastructure-as-code\nExposure to real-time data systems, embedded software, or ML/AI frameworks\nDemonstrated success in technical extracurriculars (e.g., student project teams, hackathons, open-source contributions, personal projects, etc.)\nProjects You May Work On\nIntern projects will be tailored to company needs and student skillsets closer to the start date.
