Your journey starts now-protect and innovate with MANTECH!\nMANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Applied AI Engineer to join our team in Doral, FL.\nResponsibilities include but are not limited to:\nDesigning, developing, and deploying scalable artificial intelligence and machine learning models to solve complex operational challenges.\nOrchestrating AI/ML pipelines, integrating data streams, and automating continuous training and evaluation workflows across mission networks.\nCollaborating with cross-functional technical teams, data architects, and stakeholders to define AI architecture standards and integration baselines.\nConducting model evaluation, performance tuning, and optimization across cloud, on-premise, and edge computing environments.\nMaintaining technical baseline configurations and engineering documentation for AI systems and algorithmic models.\nEvaluating emerging AI frameworks, generative models, and tooling to recommend continuous process and system improvements.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field with 5+ years of experience in advanced analytics or data science roles.OR a master’s degree and 3+ or more years of relevant experience\nOR a PhD and 1+ or more years of relevant experience\nOR an associate’s degree and 7+ or more years of relevant experience\nOR a high school diploma and 9+ or more years of relevant experience\n\nProven experience developing and deploying machine learning models and AI applications using modern frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow). Strong background in software development, API integration, and programming languages such as Python and C++.\nExperience with cloud architectures, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and MLOps deployment pipelines. Experience creating, maintaining, and communicating complex technical documentation and AI system architectures.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nRelevant professional certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Machine Learning Specialist, Azure AI Engineer Associate).\nDirect experience supporting U.S. Military Command operations or Department of Defense enterprise technical environments.\nHands-on experience with natural language processing (NLP), computer vision, or large language model (LLM) fine-tuning and integration.\nFamiliarity with DevSecOps, data governance, and secure AI deployment protocols.\nClearance Requirements:\nMust hold a current/active secret security clearance.\nPhysical Requirements:\nMust be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.\nNeeds to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.\nFrequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
