This is an onsite position.\nThis position offers the opportunity to work hands-on with mission-critical aviation related technology in dynamic environments, supporting the readiness and operational capability of naval weapon system assets. This work supports the U.S. Navy Landing Craft and Air Cushion Connector Ship-to- Shore (LCAC SSC) Legacy at the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) as part of a depot repair, refurbishment, craft operation and maintenance team.\nResponsibilities include but are not limited to:\nAssemble and install equipment requiring simple wiring, soldering, or connecting electrical components while following detailed procedures to include replacement of components and wiring circuits\n\nRepair simple electrical/electronic equipment\n\nTake test readings using common precision measuring instruments (digital multi-meters and/or signal generators)\n\nInspecting, testing, repairing, and maintaining electronic components and systems within aviation related equipment\n\nReading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics\n\nDocumenting maintenance and repair actions in accordance with standard procedures\n\nConducting performance checks and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards\n\nUtilizing specialized testing equipment and software tools\n\nAdhering to all safety protocols and operational regulations\n\nTravel up to 10% within the United States\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent education\n\n1+ years of experience assembling or installing equipment or parts requiring simple wiring, soldering, or connecting\n\nExperience using a variety of hand tools such as digital multi-meters and signal generators\n\nDemonstrated experience working with components and wiring circuits\n\nPrior experience and demonstrated proficiency in interpreting electronic schematics and technical documentation\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nAssociate’s degree in electronics, avionics, or related field\n\nFormal military electrical / electronics training or certification (e.g., Navy/USAF avionics school)\n\nExperience with rotary- or fixed-wing aircraft systems\n\nFamiliarity with military standards for aircraft systems\n\nClearance Requirements:\nU.S. citizenship required and a current or active Secret clearance, or ability to obtain an interim secret clearance before starting\n\nPhysical Requirements:\nMust be able to work in confined spaces and at heights as required\n\nFrequently lifts, moves, or carries up to 50 pounds\n\nRequires frequent standing, walking, bending, and kneeling
