Your adventure begins now-unleash your potential with MANTECH!\nMANTECH seeks an experienced, career and customer-oriented Cloud System Administrator to join our team in Annapolis Junction, MD.\nThe Cloud System Administrator will leverage technical expertise and leadership to deploy, maintain, and secure hybrid cloud and on-premises systems, ensuring optimal operational availability, automated infrastructure provisioning, and robust mission performance.\nResponsibilities include but are not limited to:\nDeploying, administering, and maintaining robust cloud environments (primarily AWS) while actively supporting existing on-premises server infrastructure.\nProviding end-to-end administration and troubleshooting for Windows Server 2019/2022, Windows 10/11 clients, and enterprise Linux distributions (RHEL 8/9, Amazon Linux 2023).\nManaging enterprise identity and core network services, including Active Directory, DNS, and Certificate Authorities.\nDeveloping and maintaining scripts and configurations to streamline infrastructure provisioning and automated configuration management.\nPartnering with software development teams to ensure operational stability of auto-scaled software deployments and CI/CD pipelines.\nMonitoring system availability, performance, and security posture while conducting root-cause analysis and incident response as needed.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline with 10+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator or Cloud Engineer (or 5 additional years of SA experience in lieu of a degree).\nPractical experience managing core AWS resources, including EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, or auto-scaling environments.\nHands-on experience administering Windows Server, Active Directory, and Linux operating systems \nActive DoD IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE) or commitment to obtain within 60 days of program start date.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nHands-on experience writing and implementing automation via SaltStack, Ansible, BASH, and Python.\nExperience managing, maintaining, and securing enterprise data storage systems across cloud and hybrid infrastructure to optimize performance, backup integrity, and cost control.\nFamiliarity with cloud security compliance frameworks and risk mitigation standards.\nStrong communication and teamwork abilities with demonstrated experience collaborating in enterprise or government IT environments.\nClearance Requirements: An active TS/SCI with Polygraph\nPhysical Requirements:\nMust be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.\nNeeds to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.\nFrequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.\nThe projected compensation range for this position is $128,000.00-$214,400.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
