Your adventure begins now-unleash your potential with MANTECH!\nMANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-orientedData Architect to join our team in Chantilly, VA.\nThe Data Architect will leverage strong technical background and architectural expertise to collaborate with the Sponsor, data layer engineering teams, and departmental stakeholders. In this role, you will architect, design, and lead the development of data layer solutions that effectively balance mission, technical, and security requirements across an innovative Big Data environment.\nResponsibilities include but are not limited to:\nCollaborating with technical teams, fellow architects, analytic stakeholders, and Sponsor management to architect, design, and lead the development and deployment of data layer solutions.\nEnsuring the data layer solution is continuously optimized and able to fully satisfy analytic mission requirements as rapidly and efficiently as possible.\nDeveloping and documenting architectural guidance, interface designs, data flows, and system interfaces for data layer engineering teams.\nAssessing the feasibility of software systems designs and plans, assuring alignment with established mission requirements and security mandates.\nOverseeing the design and development of custom solutions, as well as the evaluation, selection, and implementation of COTS solutions.\nDesigning, programming, and modifying software systems and tools, while monitoring emerging technologies to present technical recommendations to senior management and technical teams.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nHigh School Diploma/GED with 15+ years of relevant Information Technology experience.\nSignificant experience leading increasingly complex data architecture projects in enterprise mission environments.\nSignificant hands-on experience with core enterprise technologies: Oracle, Hadoop, Elasticsearch, SQL, Java, and Linux.\nStrong experience with the full data lifecycle, from ingest through display, in Big Data environments.\nDemonstrated hands-on data parsing and software development experience with required technologies.\nDemonstrated ability to effectively diagnose, isolate, and resolve complex issues across data, security, engineering, and architecture while communicating effectively with stakeholders.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the Sponsor’s environment.\nFamiliarity with multiple data management, content management, and knowledge management solutions.\nExperience designing and implementing custom data processing tools and Big Data pipelines within complex mission environments.\nClearance Requirements:\nAn active TS/SCI with Polygraph is required.\nPhysical Requirements:\nMust be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.\nNeeds to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.\nFrequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.\nMust be able to use hands to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.\nThe projected compensation range for this position is $179,300.00-$318,400.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
