You will work in a self-contained Big Data environment where the team manages everything from infrastructure and application development to advanced analytics. This position offers numerous opportunities for growth, collaboration, and problem-solving in a thought-provoking, mission-driven setting.\nResponsibilities include but are not limited to:\nWorking with large, complex, and disparate data sets\nDesigning and implementing innovative ways to analyze and exploit the Sponsor’s data holdings\nResearching and reporting on a wide variety of Sponsor inquiries\nProactively identifying areas for analysis or exploitation and raising inquiries to the Sponsor\nApplying advanced analytical methodologies to solve difficult, non-routine problems and improve analytic processes\nDeveloping custom searches\nParticipating in threat hunting and/or developing advanced, novel detection mechanisms to counter malicious actors\nMinimum Qualifications:\nHigh School Diploma with 7+ years of experience coding/scripting in Python\nDemonstrated knowledge of appropriate analytic tools and methodologies in one or more of the following:Applied mathematics (e.g., probability and statistics, formal modeling, computational social sciences)\nComputer programming (e.g., programming languages, math/statistics packages, computer science, machine learning, scientific computing)\n\nExperience in collecting information and accurately visualizing and representing it to non-technical stakeholders\nPreferred Qualifications:\nUnderstanding of algorithms for classification, regression, clustering, and anomaly detection\nKnowledge of relational databases including SQL and large-scale distributed systems such as Hadoop\nExperience with statistical data analysis (e.g., linear models, multivariate analysis, stochastic models, sampling)\nFamiliarity with building MVP/Prototype data engineering pipelines to support novel analytics\nBackground in computer network operations, particularly network defense and/or exploitation\nExperience in signature development, threat hunting, and/or threat modeling\nClearance Requirements:\nAn active TS/SCI with Polygraph is required\nPhysical Requirements:\nUse hands to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer\nThe person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.\nConstantly positions self to maintain computers in the lab, including under desks and in the server closet\nThe projected compensation range for this position is $114,600.00-$190,200.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
