Your adventure begins now-unleash your potential with MANTECH!\nManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Database Administrator to join our team in Chantilly , VA\nThe Senior Database Administrator will work as part of the overall DBA team to determine, implement, and maintain the most efficient ways to ingest, organize and store petabytes of data from disparate system.\nResponsibilities include but are not limited to:\nParticipating in leading the design, development, and administration of Oracle 19c databases\nDesigning and developing database code for ETL of data from multiple sources\nConducting performance tuning and forecasting system scalability\nRecommending appropriate procedure, query, or package changes and optimizations to ensure and improve system performance and reliability\nInstalling and configuring database environments as well as performing database backups and restores\nManaging, monitoring, and administering of Oracle database systems\nParticipating in server and storage capacity management, planning and providing technical support in the evaluation of database systems and database design\nMinimum Qualifications:\nHigh School Diploma with 15+ years of experience in the Information Technology field\nSignificant experience with Oracle 19c+ architecture and database design, and related Oracle technologies (Partitioning, Encryption, Pluggable Database, etc.) on Linux systems\nSignificant Oracle Exadata and PL/SQL developer experience\nOracle Label Security (OLS) experience coupled with significant experience and knowledge in methodologies to improve database query performance. \nSignificant experience in the optimization of database environments\nStrong understanding of high-availability solutions, architecture, backup methodologies and their implementation (RMAN, Data Guard)\nExperience managing and tuning very large databases (terabytes and petabytes) and with automating, scripting, and streamlining processes for efficiency and accuracy with strong documentation skills.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience with PostgreSQL architecture, database design, administration, and related technologies.\nKnowledge of Oracle Cloud Technology\nOracle OCP or OCM certification(s)\nLinux experience as relevant to database O&M\nKnowledge of multiple data-storage technologies\nAbility to work with multiple teams to enhance their code and improve performance.\nClearance Requirements:\nAn active/current TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.\nPhysical Requirements:\nUse hands to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.\nThe person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.\nConstantly positions self to maintain computers in the lab, including under the desks and in the server closet\nThe projected compensation range for this position is $141,500.00-$236,000.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
