Your journey starts now-protect and innovate with MANTECH!\nMANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Digital, Network, Cybersecurity Systems Engineer to join our team working in the Washington D.C Navy Yard. This is an hybrid position requiring 3 days onsite per week.\nResponsibilities include but are not limited to:\nAct as Systems Engineer for machinery controls (Machinery Control and Monitoring System - MCMS) and shipboard HM&E networks (Federated Machinery Local Area Network - FMLAN) for Nimitz and Ford Class aircraft carriers.\nLead multiple stakeholders through risk assessment and technical decision-making.\nCoordinate directly with technical and programmatic authorities\nCollaborate with the Supervisor of Shipbuilding - Newport News (SUPSHIP) to resolve Digital, Network, Cybersecurity Systems Engineer ( DNC) System technical matters\nProvide written responses to requests for technical assistance or adjudication received via letter, Departure from Specification (DFS), and electronic Liaison Action Request (eLAR)\nAddress technical issues with ship modernization efforts executed via Ship Change Documents (SCDs) and support development of new SCDs alongside In-service Engineering Agents (ISEAs)\nCollect and issue DNC Systems Government Furnished Information (GFI) packages to Newport News Shipbuilding\nReview technical data packages, drawings, reports, logistics products, training, etc. and provide written technical recommendations\nReview ship, procurement, and systems specifications and submit written proposals for changes.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering technology or a bachelor’s degree in any discipline and prior experience as a US Navy LDO/CWO/CPO\n7+ years of experience in shipboard machinery controls, digital network control systems (DNC/DNCG), and broader HM&E architecture\nExperience leading technical teams composed of multiple stakeholders from different organizations\nExperience with US Navy machinery control networks, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), and/or HM&E networks\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience with nuclear powered ships\nExperience working with technical authorities in PAE Maritime, NAVSEA 05/08 and programmatic authorities across the Navy Enterprise\nExperience working with non-technical leadership\nExperience with US Navy, US Coast Guard, or Military Sealift Command vessels\nClearance Requirements:\nMust be a U.S. Citizen and hold an active/current Secret Security Clearance or obtain an interim secret clearance before starting\nPhysical Requirements:\nThe person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.\nOccasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.\nThe projected compensation range for this position is $116,400.00-$194,900.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
