This is an onsite position.\nThis role supports critical naval aviation infrastructure by driving the design, development, testing, and lifecycle support of advanced aircraft launch and recovery equipment (EMALS/AAG). You will help ensure high-efficiency aircraft launches and recoveries while delivering vital technical engineering solutions to modern naval aircraft carriers.\nResponsibilities include but are not limited to:\nPartner with cross-functional engineering groups to design, evaluate, and troubleshoot advanced electrical components and systems for EMALS/AAG.\nAssist in generating and updating electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, technical specifications, and comprehensive system documentation.\nLead and support engineering investigations to diagnose system anomalies, execute complex repairs, and deliver technical recommendations for manufactured parts.\nConduct rigorous field testing and validation protocols to ensure all systems adhere to safety, quality, and military performance benchmarks.\nRapidly troubleshoot system issues, author technical procedures, and respond to urgent shipboard service calls, which may occasionally require working outside standard business hours.\nPrepare engineering reports for program leadership and participate in the review of engineering change requests, including REIs, waivers, and variances.\nTravel up to 25% of the time to remote test sites and operational U.S. Navy vessels to provide direct, on-site technical support.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline\n3+ years of professional experience with some experience with power electronics, electrical control networks, and system diagnostics.\nProfessional experience with MATLAB or similar data analysis tools.\nMust possess a current valid passport or be willing to obtain within 90 days \nPreferred Qualifications:\nDirect prior experience with EMALS, AAG, or legacy aircraft launch and recovery machinery.\nDeep familiarity with defense industry standards and military specifications (MIL-STDs).\nAbility to interpret source code, such as C# or C++, and interpret complex XML documents.\nClearance Requirements:\nMust be a U.S. Citizen and possess an active or current Secret security clearance.\nPhysical Requirements:\nThe person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.\nOccasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.\nLift or move equipment weighing up to 50 lbs, climb shipboard ladders, and maneuver through tight, confined spaces.\nWork in demanding environments, including confined shipboard spaces, manufacturing facilities, and extreme weather conditions\nComfortable working in industrial settings, extreme weather conditions, and wearing mandatory Personal Protective Equipment.\nThe projected compensation range for this position is $77,200.00-$128,800.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
