Your journey starts now-protect and innovate with MANTECH!\nMANTECH is seeking a motivated, career- and customer-oriented Engineering Technician to join our team in Virginia Beach, VA. This position will be onsite.\nResponsibilities include but are not limited to:\nLead and support the design, fabrication, installation, and test and evaluation of prototype and developmental technology demonstrators to validate advanced electronic capabilities.\nConduct and support designated tests, trials, and evaluations ranging from bench component-level testing to full system-level evaluations on designated watercraft, including checklist and verification signoff.\nPartner directly with engineers to design, build, and test solutions for technical problems.\nResearch, write, edit, revise, and prepare technical reports, manuals, and official Navy technical documents.\nWork with minimal supervision at government and contractor facilities, receiving technical guidance from project managers while exercising safety and caution to eliminate operational risk.\nPerform Component Level Verification Tests and conduct field validations across various watercraft and equipment.\nAnalyze operations and formulate suggestions for continuous process improvement.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree and 4+ years of experience with shipboard installations; an additional 6+ years of shipboard installation experience may be substituted for a degree\nPreferred Qualifications:\nTechnical experience with AC/DC circuits and HF/VHF/UHF installation and/or troubleshooting.\nPrior experience and demonstrated proficiency in interpreting electronic schematics and technical documentation\nEducation or formal training in electronics, covering equipment installation, soldering, cable dressing, and building/repairing connectors.\nExperience working with RF connectors.\nClearance Requirements:\n U.S. citizenship required and a current or active Secret clearance\nPhysical Requirements:\nMust be able to work in confined spaces and at heights as required\nFrequently lifts, moves, or carries up to 50 pounds\nRequires frequent standing, walking, bending, and kneeling during inspections and repairs\nMust be able to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors in operational settings \nThe projected compensation range for this position is $70,200.00-$117,000.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
