This is an onsite position.\nResponsibilities include but are not limited to:\nLeads the development, update, and submission of the RMF packages inside government repositories (e.g., eMASS).\nConducts security control assessments, draft Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms), and maintains system continuous monitoring strategies.\nPerforms automated and manual vulnerability assessments using tools like ACAS (Nessus) and SCAP.\nTranslates findings into action by applying Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and resolving compliance gaps.\nServes as the primary bridge between the software development/systems engineering team and the Information System Security Manager (ISSM).\nParticipates in engineering change boards to ensure modifications do not compromise system posture.\nAssists in analyzing security logs, detecting anomalies, and providing system-level technical support during incident response or forensic investigations.\nApplies system security engineering principles to implement secure designs, secure configurations, and boundary defenses (firewalls, IDS/IPS, access controls).\nEnsures standard security tools (e.g., HBSS/ESS, ACAS, SIEM) are properly integrated\nMinimum Qualifications:\n5+ years of direct experience in cybersecurity engineering, systems engineering, or network administration\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, System Engineering, or a related technical discipline. 6+ years of additional experience may substitute for the degree requirements\nMust possess a CompTIA Security+ certification\nPreferred Qualifications:\n Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field\nActive DoD 8570.01-M / DoD 8140 IAT Level III baseline certification (e.g., CISSP, CASP+ CE, or CISA)\nPrevious experience working in a DoD environment\nClearance Requirements:\nU.S. Citizenship required and an active or current Secret clearance or ability to obtain an Interim Secret prior to starting. \nPhysical Requirements:\nThe person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 80% of the
