Your journey starts now-protect and innovate with MANTECH!\nMANTECHseeksa highly talented Launch Vehicle Software Integration Engineer with skills, background, and experience related to Launch Vehicle (LV) systems, project management, and software productivity tool use, to help the Space Force redefine the future ofNational Security Space Launch (NSSL). This position is based out of El Segundo, CA.\nResponsibilities include but are not limited to:\nProvide LV systemsseniorengineeringexpertiseat ourCape Canaveral Space Force Station,FL customer site. Areasofexpertise mayinclude GNC and Mission Analysis, Mission Assurance, or Launch Operations.\n\nPerformstructures and mechanicalsystems engineering functions such as requirements definition, design review, test review, pedigree, hardware acceptance,performance assessment andverification, operations, and post-flight analyses.\n\nPrepare Customer team for, and directly support,launchcontractor reviews, audits, and site walkdowns,rehearsals and launch operations,andanomaly resolution processes. Perform technical and engineering data management, such as data mining and reporting, whilesuccessfully keepingproprietary information separate and protected.\n\nCollaborate with The Aerospace Corporation (Aerospace),NewLaunchContractors(LCs),launchsitepersonnel, and production and supplier personnel, as needed.\n\nServe as authority in your technical specialization, support USSF customers in the preparation for and execution of Chief Engineer briefings, Weekly Status Reviews, and other SpaceSystemsCommandprocesses.\n\nAssess requirements, design drawings, processes, procedures of engineering systems, and multi-disciplinary challenges.\n\nPerform risk assessments and mitigation planning, design reviews, pre- and post-test reviews, procedure reviews, failure analysis.\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelor's degree or higher in an Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical) or STEM field.Note: 1.5 years relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of each 1 year of education/degree requirement\n\n10+ years systems engineering, technical program management, or other related experience\n\nKnowledge/experience with LV systems (liquid propellant rocket engines and systems, ordnance, hydraulics, in-flight avionics, LV ground support equipment, LV structures, composite materials, etc.)\n\nExperience with LV design, processing, integration, testing,launchand anomaly resolution.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nFamiliarity with space, launch, and safety standards.\n\nExperience with USSF, NASA, National Reconnaissance Office, and LCs preferred.\n\nExperience with agile software products, such as Warp Core, Jira, Confluence, MS Office Suite, SharePoint,Google Workspace,and Information Technology systems is highly preferred.\n\nPreviousproject management experience preferred.\n\nClearance Requirements:\nMust be able to obtain andmaintaina Secret clearance, however notrequiredto start.\n\nPhysical Requirements:\nMust be able to remain in a stationary position50%.\n\nNeeds to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.\n\nConstantlyoperatesa computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.\n\nFrequently communicates with co-workers, management,and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchangeaccurateinformation in these situations.\n\nThe projected compensation range for this position is $116,400.00-$194,900.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
