Your journey starts now-protect and innovate with MANTECH!\nMANTECHseeks a highly talented Launch Vehicle Systems Engineer with skills, background, and experience related to Launch Vehicle (LV) systems, systems engineering, project management, and software productivity tool use, to help the US Space Force redefine the future of theSpace Access Directorate.This position is based out ofLos Angeles, CA.\nThis position will support the Space Systems Command Space AccessEngineering Divisionand the launch services theyprocure.\nResponsibilities include but are not limited to:\nProvide comprehensive LV systems engineeringexpertiseat our Los Angeles Air Force Base (LAAFB) customer site. Areas of expertise may include Systems, Propulsion, Avionics, Structural, Digital, Software, and Manufacturing Engineering, Mission Assurance, or Launch Operations.\n\nDevelop, technically assess, and update program and project deliverables and documentation, including contract deliverables.\n\nGeneral system engineering tasks for major Launch System requirements, interfaces, systems engineering processes\n\nCreation of major program documents, develop systems requirements system interface specifications, andestablishingprogram baseline for legacy and future systems architecture systems. Provides configuration control, review, and comment and coordination of changes with stakeholders.\n\nInvolved with program integration such as organizing integrated product team meetings, systems reviews, and interagency discussions and documentation.\n\nCollaborate with The Aerospace Corporation (Aerospace), New Launch Contractors (LCs), launch site personnel, and production and supplier personnel, as needed.\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelor's degree, or higher, in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical) or STEM field.\n\n10+years Engineering and/or Program Management experience\n\n3+years of NSSL, Launch/Range, Space Vehicles, DoD,NASAor industry equivalent engineering/PM experience\n\nPM/Acquisition/Contracting experience in relevant fields - NSSL, Launch/Range, DoD, or NASA specific experience\n\nProficient in Systems Engineering processes and methods as applied to systems at the Space Systems Command (SSC) Launch Vehicle/Space Vehicle programs, Launch Ground Systems design and methods,architectureand configuration, including interfaces between space, launch,groundand range systems\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nFamiliarity with space, launch, and LV system standardsas well asUSSF, NASA, National Reconnaissance Office (NRO), and LaunchContractor’s(LCs) preferred.\n\nPreviousproject management experience preferred.\n\nExperience with agile software products, such as Warp Core, Jira, Confluence, MS Office Suite, SharePoint, Google Workspace, and Information Technology systems is preferred.\n\nClearance Requirements:\nActive DoD Secretclearanceandbe able to obtain andmaintaina Top Secret (TS) Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance, howeverTS/SCIit is notrequiredto start.\n\nPhysical Requirements:\nMust be able to remain in a stationary position50%.\n\nNeeds to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.\n\nConstantlyoperatesa computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.\n\nThe projected compensation range for this position is $116,400.00-$194,900.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
