Your adventure begins now-unleash your potential with MANTECH!\nMANTECH seeks an experienced and passionate, career and customer-orientedLinux Systems Administrator to join our team located in theFort Meade, MD area.\nResponsibilities include, but are not limited to:\nProvide comprehensive administration and support for multi-platform operating system environments.\nDesign and implement automated security hardening solutions to enhance scalability and streamline operating system deployments.\nConfigure and maintain host-based security and intrusion detection systems.\nMonitor system performance and investigate detected anomalies to ensure operational integrity.\nDevelop and deploy automation scripts to manage server integration and reduce manual configuration errors.\nAnalyze system and security logs to identify and respond to real-time events and provide status updates to leadership.\nEngineer automation workflows for identity and access management to replace manual account provisioning processes.\nConduct regular audits to verify security compliance and identify potential vulnerabilities or configuration gaps.\nParticipate in design and review meetings to provide technical insights, project goals, and status updates to management.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in a technical field and 10+ years of relevant Systems Administration experience; or an Associate's degree with 15+ years’ experience.\n10+ years of experience in systems administration of software and hardware supporting IT system development and testing.\n3 years of active, hands-on experience using at least one of the following: Kubernetes/Rancher OR Ansible including AAP (Ansible Automation Platform) OR AWS Virtual Environment Provisioning, Management, Orchestration\nExperience with Linux administration and enterprise-level operating systems.\nExperience managing enterprise virtualization platforms (VMware or similar) and associated Storage Area Networks (SAN).\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience with DevOps tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, SaltStack, or Puppet.\nProficiency in scripting languages including Python, Bash, or Perl.\nExperience collaborating with teams to integrate and deploy new technologies into production environments.\nKnowledge of network devices (routers, switches, gateways) and protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, DHCP, and DNS.\nClearance Requirement:\nCurrent/Active TS/SCI with Polygraph\nPhysical Requirements:\nMust be able to remain in a stationary position at least 50% of the time.\nNeeds to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.\nConstantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as, the copy machine/fax machine/computer/printer.\nThe projected compensation range for this position is $128,000.00-$214,400.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
