Your journey starts now-protect and innovate with MANTECH!\nMANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-orientedSenior Construction Equipment Mechanic to join our vehicle sustainment team in Yokota, Japan. The selected candidate will provide maintenance support to multiple families of vehicles globally on the Allied Logistics Engineering Capabilities Sustainment (ALECS) program.\nResponsibilities include, but are not limited to:\nPerforms cradle-to-grave maintenance operations on U. S. Air Force WRM and RADR vehicle and equipment fleet assets. \nPerforms preventative maintenance and special inspections as required and determines the overall mechanical condition of vehicles and equipment. Understands all requirements to meet asset “safe and serviceable” condition.\nPerforms diagnostic, triage, repair maintenance actions based on AF priorities. Conducts parts research utilizing available T.O.s, T.M.s, and commercial manuals.\nManages and accounts for Air Force assets and performs accurate & timely administrative fleet management actions and accounts for all assigned equipment and tools as required.\nMaintains CFR, FIAR, OSHA, AFOSH, and other federal, country, state regulatory compliance requirements.\nProperly handles the accountability and disposal of hazardous waste and maintain current certifications and training requirements\nPerform other related duties as assigned.\nMinimum Qualifications:\n7 years of qualified mechanical experience. \nUp to 25% Travel Required. \nExtensive experience in diagnosing, repairing, rebuilding, replacing components for heavy construction vehicles and equipment.\nProficiency in troubleshooting and repairing electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, pump, and mechanical systems.\nStrong knowledge of gas and diesel engines, including diagnostics and repairs. Experience with electrical, hydraulic, and pumping schematics for troubleshooting.\nPerform maintenance actions and parts research utilizing commercial and military manuals.\nProficient with hand tools, diagnostic tools, power tools, and multi-meters; experience following industry or military troubleshooting procedures.\nAbility to successfully pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screening; must possess a Valid Driver’s License for the location in which the work will be performed, a High School Diploma or GED, and a Passport valid for at least one year beyond the start date.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience with commercial and tactical heavy construction, and Civil Engineering equipment for U.S. Air Force WRM & RADR fleets.\nExperience and understanding of the Air Force’s fleet management and support systems, including compliance with asset Life-Cycle Management.\nExperience in diagnosing and repairing aircraft support, refueling, MHE, tactical, transport vehicles.\nAF Fleet Management & Analysis experience. Knowledge of AF Forms 1800, 4354, 4355, AFTO 91.\nFamiliarity with T.O. 36-1-191, AFI 24-302, AFI 24-301.\nFamiliarity with the Air Force’s Electronic Technical Manual System (ETIMS), AF Technical Orders, and various Commercial Manuals for maintenance and repairs.\nExperience in corrosion prevention or removal in commercial or military contexts.\nAFSC 2T3X1 (2T351, 2T371, 2T371A, B, C) or equivalent\nWillingness to travel to various US or OCONUS locations. \nClearance Requirements:\nMust be a US Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance prior to starting this position.\nPhysical Requirements:\nMust be able to balance, bend, carry, crouch, stretch and kneel. \nMust be able to push, pull, and reach. \nMust be able to work in high noise areas. \nMust be able to lift 50lbs and small parts. \nMust be able to work with computers and CRTs, and type on a computer keyboard. \nThe projected compensation range for this position is $36,000.00-$60,600.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
