Your journey starts now-protect and innovate with MANTECH!\nMANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Data Engineer to join our team in Doral, FL.\nResponsibilities include but are not limited to:\nDesigning, constructing, testing, and maintaining scalable data architectures and processing systems.\nDeveloping and optimizing automated ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest, transform, and load enterprise data sources.\nCollaborating with cross-functional technical teams, data scientists, and analysts to define data interoperability standards.\nConducting performance tuning, data validation, and troubleshooting across complex database environments.\nMaintaining data baselines, configuration management controls, and comprehensive technical documentation.\nRecommending and implementing process improvements to enhance system reliability, data quality, and scalability.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field with 5+ years of experience in data engineering.OR a master’s degree and 3+ or more years of relevant experience\nOR an associate’s degree and 7+ or more years of relevant experience\nOR a high school diploma and 9+ or more years of relevant experience\n\nProven experience building and managing scalable data pipelines, data warehouses, and relational databases. Strong proficiency in writing complex SQL queries and programming languages such as Python, Scala, or Java.\nHands-on experience with cloud data platforms, database engineering, and automated workflow orchestration tools. Experience creating, maintaining, and communicating complex technical documentation and data architectures.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nRelevant industry certifications such as AWS Certified Data Engineer, Azure Data Engineer Associate, or Databricks Certified Data Engineer.\nPrior experience supporting U.S. Military Command operations or Department of Defense enterprise data environments.\nFamiliarity with real-time streaming architectures, data governance frameworks, and containerization technologies.\nDemonstrated ability to collaborate across multi-disciplinary technical teams to drive data platform improvements.\nClearance Requirements:\nMust hold a current/active secret security clearance.\nPhysical Requirements:\nMust be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.\nNeeds to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.\nFrequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
