Your adventure begins now-unleash your potential with MANTECH!\nMANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Linux System Administrator to join our team in Laurel, MD.\nYou will be part of a dedicated team delivering enterprise infrastructure capabilities for a global workforce that supports a wide range of national defense missions. This role directly supports the Enterprise Infrastructure Services (EIS) organization-the foundation of all Enterprise Information Technology (EIT) for MPO.\nResponsibilities include but are not limited to:\nConfigure, manage and troubleshoot Linux operating systems. Installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoot and maintain integrity and configure network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance. \nProvides support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems. \nManage IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems. \nProvide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc. \nProvide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and will remain involved in the resolution process. \nOptimize system operations and resource utilization and perform system capacity analysis and planning. \nAnalyze and resolve complex problems associated with server hardware, applications and software integration.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in a technical discipline with 12+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator OR 15 years and an associate’s degree OR 20 years of experience and a high school diploma.\n\nDemonstrated experience in planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts is required.\nMust be proficient with troubleshooting in a Linux Red Hat environment. \nExtensive experience with VMWare \nDemonstrated experience with modern automation/configuration tools such as Splunk or Ansible \nIAT I certification (DoD 8140 required within 60 days of starting employment. Acceptable certifications include A+ CE/CCNA-Security/CND/Network+ CE /CySA+/GICSP/GSEC/Security+ CE/CND/SSCP) \nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience/familiarization with full lifecycle management of Linux systems, to include provisioning, configuration management and patching. \nRed Hat Certified System Administration Certification. \nExperience with NetAPP \nClearance Requirements:\nActive TS/SCI with Polygraph \nPhysical Requirements:\nThe person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. \nOccasionally move about inside the office to collaborate with other leaders/teams, use standard office automation equipment, and virtual communication. \nThe projected compensation range for this position is $128,000.00-$214,400.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
