Your adventure begins now-unleash your potential with MANTECH!\nMANTECH seeks a motivated, career-driven, and customer-focused Sr. Linux/VMWare System Administrator to join our team in Laurel, MD.\nThis position supports the high-visibility Enterprise Infrastructure Services (EIS) organization, responsible for the delivery and security of MPO’s Enterprise Information Technology (EIT), the foundation for enterprise-wide services. As a Senior System Administrator, you will work alongside customers, Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), and vendors to support the implementation and compliance of advanced EIT capabilities through Data Center & Compute Services.\nResponsibilities include, but are not limited to:\nProvide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems.\nProvide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring & problem resolution for all the client/server/storage/network devices, etc.\nConfigure and manage Linux, and possibly Windows operating systems, installs/loads operating system software and patches to maintain security compliance, troubleshoot, maintain integrity of and configure network components, along with implementing operating system enhancements to improve reliability & performance.\nPatching and updating Linux distributions regarding security findings.\nAdding / Removing users and setting permissions to meet certain user privileges.\nWorking with STIGs and fixing/updating vulnerabilities with STE/STN findings.\nRenew Linux server certificates and applying updates to TLS security versions.\nWorking with automation software such as ANSIBLE to streamline updates and patching.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree with 12+ years of relevant System Administration experience OR Associates degree with 15 years of relevant System Administration experience\nSenior level Linux Systems Administration experience is required\nExperience with VMWARE, vSphere, VCF (VMware Cloud Foundations)\nServer and Hardware maintenance\nKnowledge of patching & updating Linux distributions regarding security findings.\nPreferred Qualifications:\n20 years of relevant System Administration experience (no degree requirement)\nExperience with Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems.\nExperience with monitoring tools like NAGIOS.\nClearance Requirements:\nMust possess and maintain a current/active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph\nPhysical Requirements:\nMust be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time\nOccasionally moves about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.\nFrequently communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, including delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations\nThe projected compensation range for this position is $128,000.00-$214,400.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
