Your journey starts now-protect and innovate with MANTECH!\nMANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Security Systems Technician to join our team at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton, WA. This is an onsite position.\nAs a Security Systems Technician, you will support the U.S. Navy’s mission by installing, configuring, and monitoring a wide array of security technologies. In this role, you will assist with maintaining critical systems, ensuring they perform optimally, and contributing to the safety and security of the Shipyard.\nResponsibilities include but are not limited to:\nAssist in the development, troubleshooting, testing, operation, and maintenance of security systems, including Automated Access Control Systems (AACS), Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), and Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV).\nConfigure and install network security system components such as Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Programmable Logic Relays (PLR), Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS), fiber optic video and data transmission equipment, and IP-based packet-switching telecommunications systems.\nUtilize electronics technician methods, basic electrical theory, technical manuals, factory specifications, schematics, and job orders to perform duties.\nCreate schematic diagrams, drawings, and sketches of security systems and components as configured. Maintain accurate records of network configurations, changes, and issues.\nAssist senior technicians with the installation and configuration of security and cable systems.\nAdhere to industry safety guidelines and best practices to maintain a safe work environment.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. High school with 5+ years of experience in a security systems technician role or in a related field may be substituted for a degree\n1+ years of experience working with PLC, PLR, UPS, fiber optic video and data transmission equipment, and IP-based packet-switching telecommunications systems\n1+ years of experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting security-related equipment components, including BMS, Maglocks, network cabling, serial cabling, solenoids, door strikes, electric door handles, and relays\nPreferred Qualifications:\nPractical knowledge of electronics principles and participation in security system installations\nExperience with network analyzing tools used for configuring and troubleshooting network infrastructure security\nExperience using electronic test equipment such as multi-meters, function generators, mega-ohm meters, power supplies, oscilloscopes, and cable testers\nUnderstanding of low voltage systems installation and servicing\nKnowledge of basic electrical theory and National Electrical Code (NEC) for electrical and electronic installations\nExperience with proper conduit bending and wiring techniques, especially for fiber optics\nProficiency in using network troubleshooting tools and techniques\nThis position may include up to 25% travel\nClearance Requirements:\nMust have a current or active Secret clearance\nPhysical Requirements:\nMust be able to lift materials up to 50 lbs.\nAbility to kneel, stoop, bend, and climb ladders.\nAbility to work in confined spaces or challenging environments as required.\nMust be able to distinguish colors and comprehend telephone conversations, radio traffic, and annunciated alarms accurately.\nThe projected compensation range for this position is $65,000.00-$107,900.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
