Your journey starts now-protect and innovate with MANTECH!\nMANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-orientedTelecommunications Technician to join our team in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.\nResponsibilities include but are not limited to:\nInstall, set-up, rearrange, or remove switching, distribution, routing, and dialing equipment used in central offices.\nService or repair telephone, cable television, Internet, and other communications equipment on customers' property.\nPerforms layout, installation, termination, labeling, testing and certification of all associated cabling, to include but not limited to, CAT 3, CAT 5, CAT 5e, and CAT 6 twisted pair cable; single- or multi-strand multi-mode or single-mode fiber optic cable; and other associated video and data cables primarily within government facilities.\nPossesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments.\nPlans and leads major technology assignments. Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success.\nFunctions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments. May supervise others.\n Basic Qualifications:\nHigh School diploma\nTwo (2) or more years of relevant telecommunication installation experience.\n Preferred Qualifications:\nSecurity+ or equivalent IAT level II compliant certification\nSpecialized training in EIA/TIA 568 and 569 cable standards preferred. \nMulti-vendor equipment experience is strongly preferred.\nBICSI installation certification is strongly preferred.\nExperience at a DoD Combatant Command (e.g., SOUTHCOM, NORTHCOM, CENTCOM, CYBERCOM, INDOPACOM, EUCOM, AFRICOM, STRATCOM, TRANSCOM, SOCOM, SPACECOM) or a component is desired\nClearance Requirements:\nMust have an active TS/SCI clearance.\nPhysical Requirements:\nMust be able to remain in a stationary position 50%\nConstantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer\nThe person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. \nMust frequently lift, carry, push, or pull heavy telecommunications equipment, tools, cables, and related materials.\nMust frequently bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, and reach while installing or servicing telecommunications equipment.\nMust be able to work under desks and within tight or restricted workspaces.\nThe projected compensation range for this position is $83,300.00-$138,600.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
