We are a technology agnostic business which opens endless possibilities for you to work across multiple tech stacks and multiple platforms with the opportunity to upskill and cross skill.\nYour day to day:\nThrive in our collaborative, flat-structured environment, where your day-to-day work is all about teamwork and shared decision-making\n\nWork on greenfield projects for Australia’s biggest household names and develop high-quality code that can function with existing code, patterns and architectural techniques\n\nImplement technology solutions that meet and exceed customer requirements and expectations utilising development best practices such as CI/CD and test integrations\n\nLead the team in agile development practices as well as knowledge sharing sessions with other team members\n\nEnsure appropriate quality is maintained through practices like unit testing\n\nDesign systems that can be managed effectively in production environments\n\nChampion the adoption and evolution of AI-assisted development tools across teams and projects\n\nDesign and implement team-wide agentic coding workflows (setup-plan-act) that integrate with existing development practices\n\nEstablish team standards for shared context management, prompt libraries and reusable agentic patterns\n\nMentor engineers at all levels on effective AI-human collaboration in software development\n\nHelp our clients maintain and run reliable applications and systems\n\nUse professional judgement while treating colleagues and clients with respect and compassion, and a demonstrated ability to display our five Mantel principles\n\nWhat you’ll need to be successful:\nSolid experience building rich applications with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Vue.js & Node.js.\n\nStrong experience using testing frameworks such as Jest and Cypress and integrating these with CI/CD\n\nStrong technical and team leadership having both led the technical direction on projects and also software engineering teams\n\nExperience in developing applications on both 'greenfield' projects & existing applications.\n\nExperience with agentic coding tools and ability to lead team adoption\n\nExperience architecting development workflows that integrate AI assistance with human expertise\n\nUnderstanding of AI code generation security and quality assurance frameworks\n\nProven experience establishing team ways of working with agentic tools, including:\nShared context repositories and knowledge management\n\nPrompt engineering standards and libraries\n\nKnowledge of common productivity tools such as Gulp/Webpack & GIT source control.\n\nExperience with functional programming and CI/CD.\n\nA good understanding of modern development frameworks, industry trends and best practice.\n\nAt Mantel, we want you to be yourself.
