Develop and deliver scalable, secure, and innovative business applications using full stack technologies, Power Platform, and modern software engineering practices while collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive digital transformation initiatives.\nPosition Responsibilities:\nDesign, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance scalable business applications across the full software development lifecycle.\nBuild responsive front-end interfaces, back-end services, APIs, databases, and integrations using secure and reusable engineering practices.\nDevelop solutions using Power Platform while expanding capability in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and modern web development.\nWrite clean, maintainable code; conduct unit and integration testing; troubleshoot defects; and participate in peer code reviews.\nCollaborate with product owners, designers, business partners, and engineering teams to translate requirements into effective technical solutions.\nApply CI/CD, DevSecOps, source control, documentation, and application security standards to support reliable delivery and operations.\nParticipate in prototyping and technical investigation activities to validate ideas, reduce delivery risk, and promote continuous improvement.\nRequired Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.\nAt least 1-2 years of software development experience, including academic, internship, or professional work involving front-end, back-end, or full-stack solutions.\nAmenable to work on a rotation and flexible shift schedule and work set up of 3x a week onsite in Quezon City office.\nWorking knowledge of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and at least one modern programming language or development framework.\nExperience with Power Apps or broader Power Platform development, with demonstrated interest in building skills in AI and/or modern web development.\nUnderstanding of APIs, relational or non-relational databases, data modeling, object-oriented design, and cloud application fundamentals.\nFamiliarity with source control, debugging, secure coding, automated testing, and CI/CD concepts.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to learn new technologies quickly.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nHands-on experience developing end-to-end applications using a modern front-end framework and a back-end technology such as .NET, Java, Node.js, or Python.\nExposure to AI-assisted solutions, generative AI, machine learning services, or responsible AI development practices.\nExperience with Microsoft Azure, cloud-native services, API management, or application deployment in a cloud environment.\nKnowledge of Power Automate, Dataverse, Power BI, custom connectors, or integration between Power Platform and enterprise systems.\nExperience working in Agile delivery teams and using tools for backlog management, source control, automated testing, and continuous delivery.\nMicrosoft, cloud, AI, Power Platform, or software development certifications are an advantage.\nWhen you join our team:\nWe’ll empower you to learn and grow the career you want.\nWe’ll recognize and support you in a flexible environment where well-being and inclusion are more than just words.\nAs part of our global team, we’ll support you in shaping the future you want to see.\nAbout Manulife and John Hancock\nManulife Financial Corporation is a leading international financial services provider, helping people make their decisions easier and lives better.
