This role combines people leadership, technology delivery, and cross-functional program execution, providing the opportunity to influence both how solutions are built and how engineering teams grow.\nThe successful candidate will foster an inclusive, high-performing environment where engineers can do their best work while driving measurable business and technology outcomes.\n\nPosition Responsibilities:\nLead, coach, and develop a team of engineers through regular feedback, career development conversations, mentorship, and growth opportunities.\nDeliver secure, scalable, and reliable technology solutions that align with business priorities and customer needs.\nTranslate business, technical, and regulatory requirements into actionable engineering roadmaps and delivery plans.\nLead complex, cross-functional programs involving multiple technology teams, stakeholders, and dependencies.\nPartner with business leaders, architects, technical leads, and subject matter experts to evaluate solutions and drive informed technology decisions.\nCoordinate delivery across multiple workstreams, proactively managing risks, dependencies, priorities, and resource considerations.\nEstablish and continuously improve engineering standards, implementation practices, documentation, and operational processes that support sustainable delivery and maintenance.\nDrive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance team effectiveness, quality, reliability, and delivery outcomes.\nProvide clear and timely updates to senior business and technology leaders regarding progress, key decisions, risks, dependencies, and outcomes.\nFoster an inclusive and collaborative team culture where diverse perspectives are valued, contributions are recognized, and individuals are supported in achieving their full potential.\nSupport organizational and technology transformation initiatives while helping teams successfully navigate change.\n\nRequired Qualifications:\nExperience leading software engineering teams, including people leadership, coaching, performance management, and talent development.\nExperience delivering complex technology initiatives involving multiple teams, stakeholders, and business partners.\nAbility to translate strategic business priorities into engineering roadmaps, delivery plans, and measurable outcomes.\nStrong understanding of Agile principles, modern software delivery practices, and the end-to-end Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).\nExperience working with cross-functional teams to manage priorities, risks, dependencies, and competing demands.\nAbility to communicate technical concepts, trade-offs, and delivery status effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.\nKnowledge of software engineering practices including cloud technologies, APIs, application development, CI/CD, system reliability, and security.\nExperience leading teams through organizational, process, or technology change.\nDemonstrated commitment to continuous improvement, collaboration, and creating inclusive team environments.\nStrong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience working within financial services, insurance, or other highly regulated industries.\nExperience with workforce planning, capacity planning, budgeting, or technology financial management.\nExposure to large-scale enterprise modernization or digital transformation initiatives.\nExperience establishing engineering standards, governance practices, or delivery frameworks.\nDemonstrated ability to evaluate alternatives, navigate ambiguity, and make informed decisions in complex environments.\nStrong presentation, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.\nCommitment to ongoing professional growth and continuous learning.\nOur technology ecosystem includes cloud, web, enterprise, and legacy platforms, including Azure, Node.js, React, REST APIs, GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, relational and NoSQL databases.\nExperience with every technology listed is not required.
