The Senior Director, Business Management, Distribution is a strategic role partnering with the Distribution leadership team and business stakeholders to drive the future-ready Distribution agenda. The role leads Distribution’s business input, governance and performance assessment for distribution compensation and incentive frameworks, in close partnership with the Finance Compensation team. Therolealso develops operating models and management mechanisms, drivesbusiness and expense management, enhances channel value creation, supports new business initiatives, and leads change management efforts across distribution channels

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop the operating model, governance and management mechanisms required to execute Distribution’s strategic priorities effectively.

  • Lead Distribution’s business requirements, design input and governance for compensation and incentive frameworks, partnering with the Finance Compensation team on financial assessment, validation, implementation and administration.

  • Monitor the business outcomes and channel effectiveness of incentives initiatives, provide recommendations to Distribution leadership, and coordinate required reviews with the Finance Compensation team.

  • Lead Distribution expense management and resource optimization, including performance analysis, efficiency opportunities and management reporting.

  • Drive channel performance and value creation by reviewing business results, campaigns and initiatives, and recommending actions to improve effectiveness and business impact.

  • Partner with Distribution Strategy, Product and channel leaders to support product and campaign launches through commercially relevant narratives, frontline engagement and change management.

  • Support new business and transformation initiatives by coordinating cross-functional planning, governance, execution and stakeholder alignment.

  • Identify execution risks and operational issues, recommend mitigation actions, and ensure clear accountability and timely resolution across stakeholders.

  • Prepare concise business, expense and performance insights for management decision-making and highlight matters requiring leadership attention.

Required Qualifications:

  • Degree in Actuarial Science, Finance or a related discipline

  • Solid actuarial background is required; professional actuarial qualification is an advantage

  • Relevant experience in distribution compensation, incentive design, or financial modelling is preferred

  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in insurance, actuarial, distribution strategy, business management or a related field

  • Strong change management mindset

  • Strategic mindset and visionary; able to challenge status quo

  • Good understanding of insurance operations & management issues

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Organized and attentive to details, with strong analytical skills

  • Good presentation and communication skills

  • Persuasive and able to convey ideas, plus negotiation and influencing skills

  • Independent with high flexibility and able to work under pressure

  • Able to handle conflicts and self-motivated in difficult situations

  • Strong and proactive collaboration

  • Good command of English and Chinese, both written and spoken
