You will drive the delivery of scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure, partnering closely with development, network engineering, and product teams to enable efficient application deployment and operational excellence. In this role, you will lead platform automation, monitoring, troubleshooting, and infrastructure modernization initiatives while providing technical guidance, mentoring junior team members, and influencing cloud infrastructure strategies. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced cloud professional to shape the future of our Kubernetes platform, promote adoption of cloud-native technologies, and deliver reliable, business-critical solutions in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.\nPosition Responsibilities\nOperate, maintain, and design end to end delivery of mission critical Azure Kubernetes ecosystem and ancillary components.\nDevelop and collaborate on the build, deployment, automation, and monitoring processes to empower teams to deliver business value quickly and reliably.\nSetup and maintain Azure PAAS service configurations (AKS, APIM, ASE Event Hub, Logic Apps).\nManage Platform security & access.\nCreate and maintain AKS components (Clusters, Nodes, Pods, etc).\nCollaborate in the development of infrastructure management strategy (define disc space, load balancer, traffic manager).\nDesign and develop operations support processes specifically as it pertains to supporting cloud infrastructure & Azure PAAS.\nImplement tools and processes to support quality metrics and provide visibility to stakeholders.\nProvide guidance and collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to streamline and improve adoption of Kubernetes and Cloud.\nWork closely with development and network engineering teams and product owners to fulfill infrastructure operational needs.\nProvide support, improve, and implement Kubernetes internal components and applications on top of multiple clusters and troubleshoot and triage issues as they arise.\nMonitor and troubleshoot issues in the Kubernetes environments.\nPassionate about root cause analysis and troubleshooting.\nDevelop and collaborate on the build, deployment, automation, and monitoring processes, leveraging Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using Terraform and CI/CD pipelines to empower teams to deliver business value quickly and reliably.\nFosters a collaborative Customer-centric culture and ensure the team regularly celebrates successes.\nMentor and empower junior team members.\nShift Schedule: Tuesday to Saturday - 8am to 5pm PHT\nWork Setup: Hybrid - Required to work on site 3 days per week\n Location: Quezon City\nRequired Qualifications\n2-3 years of experience in infrastructure or platform support roles.\n2+ years of hands-on experience with AKS, Docker, or Kubernetes environments.\nExperience with CLI Tools and AKS commands.\nStrong familiarity with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery tools.\nExperience working with APIs and understanding software architecture.\nGood communication skills and desire to be a team leader.\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with Azure PAAS services (e.g., APIM, ASE, Event Hub).\nExposure to Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud monitoring tools.\nStrong understanding of Kubernetes microservices and Azure PAAS offerings, architectures, and internal components\nProduction Kubernetes experience creating Clusters, Namespaces, Pods, Service Principals, and other AKS objects.\nExperience with Docker & Containers\nComfortable with managing multiple stakeholders and conflicting priorities.\nCollaborative attitude, willingness to work with team members; able to coach, share skills and methods.\nUnderstanding of cloud architecture and security principles.\nStrong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.\nEffective communicator with a collaborative mindset and customer-centric approach.\nWhen you join our team:\nWe’ll empower you to learn and grow the career you want.\nWe’ll recognize and support you in a flexible environment where well-being and inclusion are more than just words.\nAs part of our global team, we’ll support you in shaping the future you want to see\nAbout Manulife and John Hancock\nManulife Financial Corporation is a leading international financial services provider, helping people make their decisions easier and lives better.
