This role provides an excellent foundation for students interested in analytics, data science, machine learning, risk management, and emerging technologies, while offering a pathway to our Graduate Recruitment Opportunities (GRO) Program for a seamless transition into your career.\nPosition Responsibilities:\nSupport the automation of monthly reporting within the risk and intelligence function.\n\nAssist in the delivery of machine learning, large language model (LLM), and other advanced analytics initiatives across GRIT.\n\nDrive process improvements across data collection, analysis, and dashboard development to generate actionable insights.\n\nValidate AI and analytics models to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal and regulatory standards.\n\nBuild and maintain scripts to test model performance and automate monitoring using tools such as Python or R.\n\nSupport data quality monitoring and preparation within the Enterprise Data Lake (EDL).\n\nCollaborate with analytics, automation, and business stakeholders to support strategic risk initiatives.\n\nAssist with documenting processes, procedures, project work, and ad hoc requests as required.\n\nRequired Qualifications:\nCurrently enrolled in an undergraduate program in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, Risk Management, Finance, or a related field.\n\nInterest in artificial intelligence, machine learning, data analytics, automation, and emerging technologies.\n\nFamiliarity with Python, R, SQL, or similar programming languages used for data analysis and automation.\n\nExperience with data preparation, cleaning, and analysis.\n\nExperience using Power BI or similar dashboarding and reporting tools.\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.\n\nExcellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.\n\nAbility to collaborate effectively with stakeholders, ask thoughtful questions, and synthesize information from multiple sources.\n\nStrong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.\n\nSelf-motivated with the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.\n\nWhen You Join Our Team:\nWe’ll empower you to learn and grow the career you want.\n\nWe’ll recognize and support you in a flexible environment where well-being and inclusion are more than just words.\n\nAs part of our global team, we’ll support you in shaping the future you want to see.\n\nAs part of our co-op program, you will gain early access to Manulife John Hancock’s premier early talent program, GRO, tailored to graduating students!
