For this job specifically we are searching for students to join our Special Projects team within our Buildings division (ICI Construction) out of our Mississauga, Ontario head office.\nAs an Assistant Project Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to support our Project Managers & Superintendents in the delivery of our exciting Buildings (ICI) projects. The focus of your role will be to maintain contract documentation, support estimating and assisting with the preparation of budgets and schedules. We work on a variety of types of contracts such as Design Build, Plan and Spec and Construction Management and you would gain experience on all of these. Please note a vehicle will be required to visit project sites, as the locations are not easily accessible by public transit.\nThe purpose of the Assistant Project Coordinator is to support the project team who ensure that a profit is made on the project, that the work is performed as per the contract documents, that the project is completed with outstanding quality, and that the jobsite is a safe workplace.\nResponsibilities:\nAssist the Project Managers in the project tendering by developing estimates, preparing takeoffs, trade communication, and managing RFP documentation. \nDraft proposals and outline specifications based on Requests for Pricing. \nUpdate and maintain purchase order logs, shop drawing and submittal logs, and meeting minutes. \nGain an understanding of how to select suppliers and sub-trades and obtaining quotations.\nAssisting with and/or clarifying scope of work with sub-trades and suppliers.\nEnsuring there is a continuous focus on site safety in accordance with regulatory requirements as well as our Corporate Health and Safety Policy.\nAttending site meetings and assisting in the completion of project deficiencies.\nTracking and keeping inventory of supplies to ensure they arrive on schedule and are tracked. \nQualifications:\n A full-time student enrolled in a related post-secondary program of study (i.e. Architectural Technology, Construction Management or Civil Engineering)\nOr be a new graduate from a related program of study who completed studies in 2026.\nExperience with Microsoft Project and Microsoft Excel would be an asset\nValid drivers license and reliable transportation for site visits\nAbout Maple Reinders:\nMaple Reinders is one of Canada’s most respected and trusted construction firms, delivering innovative solutions for over 55 years.
