Business Development\nJob Summary\nThe Network Engineer works as part of a professional services team responsible for providing proactive IT infrastructure support and operations management across multiple IT infrastructure platforms (on-premise, private cloud, public cloud).\nThe role of the professional services team is to develop standards, best practices and deliver common IT operations management tasks consistently across a diverse client base, ensuring high quality service delivery and superior IT operations management for our clients.\nThe Network Engineer is a specialist in the network domain and has a broad, general knowledge of the systems domain.\nThe Network Engineer is the internal SME for technical tools, services and technologies and strives to automate manual work wherever possible within the service delivery areas.The Sr. Network Engineer must balance confidentiality, integrity and availability.\nEssential Functions:\nProvide technical specifications for a quote or proposal and prepare accompanying material such as SoW.\nAct as SME to assist in interpreting customer requirements; speak with customers or prospects to understand their needs and communicate this information to the Account Executive. \nNetwork Management & Security:\nAdminister Network and Security devices (Firewalls, Routers, Switches, Wireless Access Points, etc.)\nWork with internal teams to design, troubleshoot, and implement network designs\nPerform hardware replacements & software upgrades (Firmware, IOS updates, patches, blacklist IPs, etc.)\nMaintain network documentation for all clients along with monitoring and alerting\nResponsible for network performance management, tuning and capacity planning\nOther duties as assigned\nImplementing and managing MFA solutions\nVoIP Phone System Management:\nManage and maintain Cisco Webex and Call Manager VoIP phone systems\nPerform VoIP phone systems patching and upgrades\nTools and Automation:\nSetup, configuration and management of network monitoring and alerting\nSetup, configuration, and management of network monitoring and alerting\nDevelop automation routines and scripts to streamline tasks (patching, reporting, configuration changes)\nDevelop automated reports to provide metrics to other teams\nResearch and strive to further improve existing automation where possible.\nDocumentation & Standardization:\nDevelop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) or playbook for basic operation of each facet of the network infrastructure\nMaintain Documentation for network management tools and services\nMaintain change management records\nOperational and On-Call Duties:\nEnsure device configuration are update to say and accurate within inventory software\nEnsure device configuration are up to date and accurate within inventory software\nComplete daily, weekly, monthly infrastructure maintenance\nMonitor ticketing system to ensure issues are addressed and provide follow-through with customer until resolved\nSchedule and manage planned maintenance windows\nDevelop Subject Matter Expertise in network management and operational best practices.\nParticipate in the “After Hours On-Call Support” rotation\nWorks off-shift, nights, holidays and weekends as needed to support problem resolution or infrastructure upgrades\nOther duties as assigned\nRequired Qualifications:\nBS in Information Systems Management, Computer Science, Cybersecurity or other Information Technology discipline or equivalent in experience\nCCNA Certification\nMinimum of 3 years’ experience in network management, TCP/IP fundamentals (DNS, FTP, SSH, ACL, VLAN, DMZ, BGP), Routing and Switching\nCustomer Service oriented, detail-focused, and ability to work under stressful situations\nExcellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively with customers, support staff, sales team, vendors and peers.\nExcellent organizational skills with ability to team with others to develop and deploy projects and solutions.\nAbility to obtain and maintain security clearances for our clients (if needed)\nSuccessful background check\nHold a valid drivers’ license and be able to commute to client locations\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience managing Cisco, Meraki, Fortinet, Ubiquiti, or other enterprise network devices\nAdvanced certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or higher\nExperience with VoIP solutions (Cisco Webex, Cisco Call Manager, etc.)\nExperience with network monitoring tools\nExperience with NextGen Firewalls (NGFW)\nExperience with Cisco Firepower\nCertification(s):\nCCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) or CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional)
