Marand\nspecializes in serving the healthcare, financial services, commercial / administrative and light-industrial\nindustries.\nOur ideal candidate will have:\nA bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience\nAt least five years of experience in the commercial construction industry, overseeing all aspects of ground-up projects in healthcare, financial, and light industrial sectors.\nThe ability to manage more than 2 projects at one time and have an ambitious approach to balancing workload in a fast-paced environment\nStrong leadership, problem solving, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders\nProficient in project reporting software, MS Office, and blueprint reading\nKnowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards\nProblem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive and results-oriented approach\nA valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to various job sites\nRequirements\nLeadership: individual needs to have the ability to supervise and lead the team.\nOrganization: individual should be able to schedule and supervise multi-tasking work of a multi-member team.\nExperience: individual should have required and proven knowledge in commercial building and construction and related sectors.\nProblem-Solving: individual should have and demonstrate good problem-solving skills.\nCommunication: individual should possess and demonstrate excellent communication skills not only with team members, but also with the Project Management and the Customer.\nComputer Skills: individual needs to be computer literate and should have basic computer knowledge and experience in the use of Microsoft Office and Outlook software.\nBachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience\nProficient with technology\nMust have the ability to manage multiple projects/activities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment\nShould have strong communication skills that allow him/her to interact comfortably with everyone from project owners to tradesmen.\nMust have a basic understanding of the construction process, including materials, equipment, and techniques.\n3-5 years minimum of project management experience \nTravel is a requirement of this job. Travel can be up to 30%\nResponsibilities\nManages the project budget, writes contracts, approves invoices and updates the project schedule.\nCoordinates among subcontractors and helps to resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the job.\nOrganizes, processes, and distributes pertinent project documents.\nCreates the project schedule.\nExpedites documents and material/equipment deliveries to meet the project schedule.\nMaintains cost control data.\nPrepares Cost Reports\nMaintains mutually satisfying long-term relationships with customers, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and employees.\nDevelops short interval schedules for use at weekly coordination meetings \nConducts implementation and tracking of LEED requirements.\nAdministers the document control for shop drawings, Submittals, Subcontracts/Purchase Orders, insurance certificates/Bonds, R.F.I.’s, Plans and specifications, Warranties/as-builts and manuals, Notices to owner/Lien Releases, Construction Bulletins, Change Order Requests from the owner, back charges.\nReviews shop drawings and submittals to verify compliance with contract documents.\nCompletes subcontractor payment/vendor invoice processing.\nAttends project-related meetings and assists with the preparation and dissemination of minutes and attendee’s roster.\nWrites weekly report with notes from superintendent\nManages close-out procedures and activities.\nEnsures that safety rules and regulations are being carried out at project site\nPhysical Demands:\nThe individual typically works in an office environment and uses a computer, telephone and other office equipment as needed to perform duties.\nThe employee is regularly required to sit, talk, or hear.
