Marathon’s mission is to build lasting partnerships with an unwavering commitment to delivering best-in-class performance, service, and reliability on behalf of our clients.\nWe are currently looking for an Associate to join our Tax group, based in New York.\nResponsibilities\nPreparation of tax workpapers for special purpose and other investment vehicles.\nReview returns and K-1s prepared by service providers. \nPrepare workpapers supporting 1042, 1099, and NYS LLC filings.\nGovernment reporting including FBAR and FATCA/CRS.\nPrepare entity tax documents such as W-81MY, W-8BEN-E.\nObtain GIIN and tax ID numbers.\nPrepare check the box elections.\nSupport to ASC 740 analysis and preparing responses to investor inquires. \nQualifications\n3-5 years of relevant experience in general tax, hedge fund or private equity industry\nBackground in partnership tax compliance\nThe average salary for this role is $90,000-$100,000 in base pay and exclusive of any bonuses or benefits. The base pay will be determined based on your experience, location, skills, training, certifications, and education, and in additional we will also consider internal equity and market data. We do not anticipate that candidates hired will begin at the top of the range, however from time to time, it may occur on a case by case basis.
