The role combines market analysis with real trading and development projects.\nResponsibilities include Python-based research, strategy evaluation, analytics tools, liquidity analysis, OTC solutions, business development, and risk infrastructure.\nIdeal candidates study a quantitative discipline, understand financial markets, work comfortably with large datasets, and communicate across trading, technology, and commercial teams.\nInterns gain experience with institutional trading workflows, including derivatives, market data, exchange connectivity, execution, pricing, and position monitoring.\nAll employees are expected to understand and comply with any Sarbanes Oxley operational requirements relevant to their role.\n\nOverall Responsibilities\nTrading & Market Analysis: Support the trading team in monitoring digital-asset markets across spot, perpetuals and options, including liquidity, volatility, funding, basis and market structure.\nQuantitative Research: Use Python and data analysis to research trading opportunities, systematically analyze historical market data and evaluate strategies across areas such as volatility, carry, relative value and derivatives.\nTrading Tools & Automation: Develop and improve internal analytics, dashboards and trading tools used for pricing, execution, position monitoring and market analysis.\nLiquidity & Market Making: Assist with analysis of exchange liquidity, spreads, order books, execution quality and hedging to support the team's market-making and liquidity-taking activities.\nOTC & Structured Solutions: Support the analysis, pricing and development of OTC and structured digital-asset solutions for sophisticated and institutional clients.\nBusiness Development Support: Assist with market and client analysis, presentation materials and commercial initiatives involving exchanges, liquidity venues, hedge funds, asset managers, quantitative trading firms and other institutional counterparties.\nRisk & Infrastructure: Gain exposure to trading infrastructure, exchange connectivity, market data, execution workflows and risk-management processes supporting an institutional trading business.\nStandard Responsibilities:\nEnsuring compliance with the company’s regulatory requirements under the local regulators.\nAdhere to the operational risk framework for your role ensuring that all regulatory or company determined parameters are complied with.\nRole model for demonstrating highest level standards of integrity and conduct and reflecting Company Values.\nAt all times complying with Marex’s Code of Conduct.\nTo ensure that you are fully aware of and adhere to internal policies that relate to you, your role or any other activities for which you have any level of responsibility.\nTo report any breaches of policy to Compliance and/ or your supervisor as required.\nTo escalate risk events immediately.\nTo provide input to risk management processes, as required.\nThe Company may require you to carry out other duties from time to time\nCompetencies, Skills and Experience\nCompetencies\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\nA collaborative team player, approachable, self-efficient and influences a positive work environment\nDemonstrates curiosity\nResilient in a challenging, fast-paced environment\nAbility to take a high level of responsibility in a fast pace and high-volume environmentExcels at building relationships, networking and influencing others\n\nSkills and Experience\nStudying a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, computer science, engineering, economics, finance or a related field.\nComfortable with Python, particularly pandas/NumPy and data analysis.\nStrongly interested in financial markets, trading and digital assets.\nCurious about derivatives, options, volatility and quantitative strategies.\nAble to work with large datasets and turn analysis into clear commercial or trading insights.\nAnalytical, proactive and comfortable operating in a fast-moving market environment.\nA strong communicator who can work across trading, technology and commercial teams.\nThe internship provides practical exposure to the intersection of institutional trading, quantitative finance, technology and digital assets.
