We’re reimagining the minerals supply chain by combining deep industry expertise with advanced software, automation, and data-driven decision-making.\nThe Core Driller operates diamond core drill rigs at our open-pit copper mine, drilling for mineral exploration and resource definition. The role focuses on safe, accurate drilling to plan, high-quality core recovery, equipment care, and following health, safety and environmental standards. Diamond core experience is ideal, but we also welcome strong drillers from reverse circulation (RC), air rotary or blast hole backgrounds. A driller who can lead and train a Driller Assistant is strongly preferred. Help us build the world's first fully autonomous mine.\nResponsibilities\nSafely operate a diamond core drill rig in line with site procedures, manufacturer specs and MSHA requirements\n\nCollar holes accurately and hold the right angles, depths and alignment per the drill plan\n\nDo thorough pre-start inspections, routine servicing and basic troubleshooting to keep downtime low\n\nMonitor and adjust drilling parameters such as fluid pressure, rotation speed, weight on bit and penetration rate\n\nMake sure core is recovered, measured, labeled and boxed correctly, with good contamination control\n\nKeep accurate drill logs, footage drilled and daily production reports\n\nRecognize changes in ground conditions and flag them to the geologist and supervisors\n\nLead and mentor the Driller Assistant and keep the crew working safely\n\nKeep the drill pad and equipment area clean and organized\n\nHandle equipment breakdowns and emergencies with a calm, safety-first approach\n\nQualifications\n2+ years of drilling experience, ideally as a diamond core driller\n\nRC, air rotary or blast hole drillers are also encouraged to apply\n\nStrong mechanical aptitude and a solid understanding of drilling techniques and equipment\n\nExperience training or leading drill helpers is a strong plus\n\nReal commitment to safety\n\nValid driver's license; CDL is a plus\n\nSchedule\n7 days on / 7 days off, 12-hour day shifts\n\nHousing & Relocation: Housing and relocation assistance options are available.\n\nWorking Environment & Physical Requirements\nWork 12-hour shifts outdoors on drill pads and rugged terrain, in all weather and extreme temperatures\n\nLift at least 50 lbs, with exposure to dust, noise, vibration and diesel\n\nWear all required PPE (hard hat, steel toes, safety glasses, hi-vis, hearing protection, and a respirator when required)\n\nOur culture is built on four principles:\nEveryone Gets Home Safe. We never put speed or cost ahead of people.\nExtreme Ownership. We take full responsibility for outcomes, relentlessly driving toward solutions.\nEngineer Out Requirements, then Automate. We simplify, optimize, and then automate for scale.\nShare Your Legos. We collaborate openly, share knowledge, and empower each other to build bigger, better solutions.\nJoin us as we build the future of responsible mineral sourcing and supply!","description_format":"text","description_chars":3161,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":2,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":["Relocation assistance"],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":true,"industries":["Mining","Mining Tech","Non-ferrous Metals"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-10-07T03:03:11Z"}],"visa":[{"country":"US","licensed_sponsor":true,"evidence":"H-1B filings in 12 months: 15","filings_12m":15,"filings_prev_12m":2,"green_card_filings_12m":0,"median_offered_wage_usd":152500,"route":null,"cap_exempt":false,"checked_at":"2026-10-15T11:24:14+00:00","sources":["US Department of Labor: LCA disclosure data (H-1B, H-1B1, E-3)"],"filings_for_role_12m":0}],"liveness":{"score":55,"band":"ok","label":"Likely open","p_open":1,"p_active":0.614,"p_room":0.9,"age_days":18,"expected_fill_days":40,"reasons":["conf:1","stale_co","velocity","win:mid","comp:junior"],"computed_at":"2026-10-25T05:49:26Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/mariana-minerals-core-driller","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/mariana-minerals-core-driller.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-25T17:42:54Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","about":"Alion is a live layer of people, companies and AI agents: who they are, whether they are real and active right now, what they do and how to work with them, readable by people and by agents and paid per call.","catalog":"https://alion.io/catalog.json","usage":{"tier":"crawler_verified","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":25275,"day_limit":null,"remaining_today":null,"minute_limit":300,"resets_at":"2026-10-26T00:00:00Z"}},"offers":[{"id":"company.slices","title":"One company in depth, by slice","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002,"plus_per_slice":{"credits":0.05,"usd":0.005}},"unit":"per company, plus each slice with data","note":"the employer in depth","call":{"mcp_tool":"get_company","arguments":{"id":8004},"rest":"https://alion.io/mcp/rest/get_company?id=8004"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.slices&for=job%2Fmariana-minerals-core-driller"},{"id":"market.stats","title":"A market slice: pay, demand and time to fill","status":"live","price":{"credits":1,"usd":0.1},"unit":"per slice","note":"pay, demand and time to fill for this role and place","call":{"mcp_tool":"market_stats"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=market.stats&for=job%2Fmariana-minerals-core-driller"},{"id":"job.search","title":"Open jobs by role, technology, place, pay and visa","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002},"unit":"per posting in a list","note":"similar open postings","call":{"mcp_tool":"search_jobs"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=job.search&for=job%2Fmariana-minerals-core-driller"},{"id":"company.verify","title":"Is this company real and active right now","status":"pilot","price":null,"unit":"per company","request":{"url":"https://alion.io/catalog/request","method":"POST","body":"{\"offer\": \"company.verify\", \"for\": \"job/mariana-minerals-core-driller\", \"note\": \"what you need it for\"}"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.verify&for=job%2Fmariana-minerals-core-driller"}]}
