We’re reimagining the minerals supply chain by combining deep industry expertise with advanced software, automation, and data-driven decision-making.\nEvery Mariana Minerals site runs on a production plan, and this role brings them together. As our first Production Planner, you'll partner with each site to develop its plan, then roll those plans up into one clear view across the company.\nYou'll build our planning tools in MarianaOS, either with tools our software team develops or by building your own with AI. If you love building systems and learning new ways to work, you'll thrive here.\nYou'll also own KPIs and drive operational excellence across our sites, tracking productivity, cycle times, and costs, and finding ways to improve them. This role reports to our COO and sits at the intersection of operations, data, and OpEx. You'll build the playbook, and you will help shape the foundation of a central OpEx team.\nThis role is for someone scrappy, data-driven, and highly collaborative, who's excited to build systems from the ground up.\nResponsibilities\nPartner with site leads to build, refine, and maintain site-level production plans\n\nConsolidate production plans across all locations into a unified, company-wide view\n\nDefine, track, and report KPIs covering productivity, cycle times, and costs\n\nBuild planning tools and systems in MarianaOS using AI-assisted development\n\nTake over and expand the production planning work currently being handled across the team\n\nDrive operational excellence initiatives and identify opportunities to improve how our sites run\n\nWork closely with site leadership and technical program managers to keep plans aligned and on track\n\nQualifications & Experience\n5+ years of experience in operations, business operations, or production planning; OpEx or continuous improvement background strongly preferred\n\nBachelor's degree preferred\n\nExperience defining and tracking KPIs such as productivity, cycle times, and costs\n\nData-driven system builder who uses metrics to drive decisions and AI to create the tools that track them\n\nHighly collaborative, with strong communication skills and the ability to partner with site leaders and program managers across multiple locations\n\nThrives in a fast-paced startup environment with ambiguity and room to build\n\nWorking Environment & Physical Requirements\nFull-time, salaried. Standard business hours with flexibility as needed to support sites across time zones.\nPrimarily office-based at one of our operating sites in Utah (La Sal), Texas (Houston or Joaquin), or at our San Francisco office, with periodic travel to other Mariana sites. Site visits may involve exposure to industrial and mining environments and require appropriate PPE.\nOur culture is built on four principles:\nEveryone Gets Home Safe. We never put speed or cost ahead of people.\nExtreme Ownership. We take full responsibility for outcomes, relentlessly driving toward solutions.\nEngineer Out Requirements, then Automate. We simplify, optimize, and then automate for scale.\nShare Your Legos. We collaborate openly, share knowledge, and empower each other to build bigger, better solutions.\nJoin us as we build the future of responsible mineral sourcing and supply!","description_format":"text","description_chars":3421,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":5,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":{"level":"bachelor","optional":false},"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[{"name":"United States","iso":"US","kind":"country"}],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Mining","Mining Tech","Non-ferrous Metals"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-10-15T03:34:09Z"}],"visa":[{"country":"US","licensed_sponsor":true,"evidence":"H-1B filings in 12 months: 15","filings_12m":15,"filings_prev_12m":2,"green_card_filings_12m":0,"median_offered_wage_usd":152500,"route":null,"cap_exempt":false,"checked_at":"2026-10-15T11:24:14+00:00","sources":["US Department of Labor: LCA disclosure data (H-1B, H-1B1, E-3)"],"filings_for_role_12m":0}],"liveness":{"score":63,"band":"ok","label":"Likely open","p_open":1,"p_active":0.632,"p_room":1,"age_days":9,"expected_fill_days":40,"reasons":["conf:4","stale_co","velocity","win:early"],"computed_at":"2026-10-24T06:02:35Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/mariana-minerals-production-planner","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/mariana-minerals-production-planner.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-24T21:51:08Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","about":"Alion is a live layer of people, companies and AI agents: who they are, whether they are real and active right now, what they do and how to work with them, readable by people and by agents and paid per call.","catalog":"https://alion.io/catalog.json","usage":{"tier":"crawler_verified","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":32072,"day_limit":null,"remaining_today":null,"minute_limit":300,"resets_at":"2026-10-25T00:00:00Z"}},"offers":[{"id":"company.slices","title":"One company in depth, by slice","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002,"plus_per_slice":{"credits":0.05,"usd":0.005}},"unit":"per company, plus each slice with data","note":"the employer in depth","call":{"mcp_tool":"get_company","arguments":{"id":8004},"rest":"https://alion.io/mcp/rest/get_company?id=8004"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.slices&for=job%2Fmariana-minerals-production-planner"},{"id":"market.stats","title":"A market slice: pay, demand and time to fill","status":"live","price":{"credits":1,"usd":0.1},"unit":"per slice","note":"pay, demand and time to fill for this role and place","call":{"mcp_tool":"market_stats"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=market.stats&for=job%2Fmariana-minerals-production-planner"},{"id":"job.search","title":"Open jobs by role, technology, place, pay and visa","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002},"unit":"per posting in a list","note":"similar open postings","call":{"mcp_tool":"search_jobs"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=job.search&for=job%2Fmariana-minerals-production-planner"},{"id":"company.verify","title":"Is this company real and active right now","status":"pilot","price":null,"unit":"per company","request":{"url":"https://alion.io/catalog/request","method":"POST","body":"{\"offer\": \"company.verify\", \"for\": \"job/mariana-minerals-production-planner\", \"note\": \"what you need it for\"}"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.verify&for=job%2Fmariana-minerals-production-planner"}]}
