Marias business analysts translate our customers' business needs into clear requirements and specifications that configuration, development, and testing teams can act on. As part of this you will document requirements, write functional specifications, and help our customers get the system behavior they actually need. And it's our job to help our customers succeed.\nAs a Business Analyston our Business Analysis team, you'll independently gather and document business requirements, translate them into clear functional specifications, and support system configuration and testing efforts. You'll build working knowledge of insurance functional areas and start contributing to solution discussions when system functionality doesn't fully align with business needs.\nWe're a family-owned business, which shapes how we work more than you might expect. And the work you bill directly impacts the community that we call home.\nWhat you'll do\nIndependently gather, document, and validate business requirements through interviews and meetings\nTranslate business needs into clear functional specifications-covering both off-the-shelf configuration and customization needs-for development, configuration, and testing teams\nReview manuals and existing documentation and translate findings into specifications\nIdentify missing, ambiguous, or conflicting requirements before development or configuration begins\nValidate that documented requirements reflect actual insurance business rules\nParticipate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by developing test scenarios, validating results, and documenting findings\nDistinguish between requirement gaps and true system defects, and route them accordingly, following the appropriate ticketing or Change Management procedures\nSupport system configuration and testing efforts\nContribute to solution discussions when system functionality doesn't fully align with business needs\nDocument billing-related requirements-billing plans, payment schedules, invoicing, and delinquency/cancellation processes-with guidance\nDocument straightforward third-party integration requirements and data mapping with guidance\nTrain client personnel on the use of functional/business applications software as part of delivery activities\nManage multiple assigned tasks accurately in a fast-paced environment\nWhat you need\nRequired\nAssociate's degree in a related field (equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of degree)\nMicrosoft (Teams, Excel, Word, Outlook) experience\n1+ years of experience working with business processes, documentation, or software systems\nProficiency with requirements/documentation and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, DevStride)\nWorking knowledge of policy administration systems and the functional areas they support (policy, rating, billing, claims)\nWorking knowledge of core billing concepts: billing plans, payment schedules, invoicing, and delinquency/cancellation processes\nWorking knowledge of common third-party integration points (rating bureaus, payment processors, document generation, reporting)\nFamiliarity with multiple insurance lines of business (e.g., personal lines, commercial lines)\nAbility to work full-time, in-office in Covington, OH\nPreferred\nBachelor's degree in Business, Technology, Management, Accounting, or a related field\nPrior experience in the insurance industry\nPrior experience as an Associate Business Analyst or in a similar requirements-gathering role\nAbout the pay range\n$45,000-$65,000 depending on experience.The starting salary depends on a variety of factors, including geographic location, relevant experience, and qualifications-tell us honestly where you are and we'll do the same.\nWho thrives here\nYou think analytically.You can hold both the details and the big picture at once\nYou communicate clearly.Your specifications and updates are easy for stakeholders to follow\nYou collaborate well.You give and receive feedback constructively\nYou manage multiple priorities.You stay accurate in a fast-paced environment\nYou're reliable.You meet your commitments within defined timelines\nYou have integrity.You do the right thing when it's inconvenient, and you own your mistakes\nWhat we offer\nPay: $45,000-$65,000/year depending on experience, paid semi-monthly (15th and end of month) via direct deposit\nHealth coverage -
