This is a unique opportunity to help shape a brand new team responsible for building configurable reports that enable Mark43 to expand into new markets and support customers in new jurisdictions. Your work will have a direct impact on the company's growth by helping unlock new customers, accelerate deployments, and ensure our platform meets complex state and agency-specific reporting requirements. \nIf you're excited about solving customer problems, building scalable processes from the ground up, and working at the intersection of technology, compliance, and public safety, we'd love to meet you. \nWhat You'll Do \nIf you were part of our team, here are some things you would have done last week: \nBuilt and configured reporting forms that satisfy state-specific compliance requirements, helping customers successfully deploy Mark43 in new jurisdictions. \nPartnered with Customer Success, Solutions Engineering, Product, and Engineering teams to understand customer reporting needs and translate them into scalable technical solutions. \nDeveloped configurable forms and reporting workflows that reduce customization while meeting diverse customer requirements. \nWorked with customers to troubleshoot reporting and compliance challenges and identify opportunities to improve the product. \nHelped establish engineering standards, processes, and best practices for a brand new team that will play a key role in Mark43's continued growth. \nWrote and maintained scripts using JavaScript, JSON, and related technologies to support form configuration and automation. \nImproved internal documentation and tooling to make compliance reporting easier to build, maintain, and scale. \nWhat You'll Need \nWe're looking for a Compliance & Reporting Engineer with experience working in public safety technology and a passion for building solutions that directly impact customers. This role requires someone who is comfortable navigating technical challenges while collaborating closely with customer-facing teams to deliver practical, scalable outcomes. \nSuccessful candidates will have: \nProfessional experience working in the public safety technology space. \nExperience building or configuring forms, workflows, or reporting solutions. Experience with Forms.io is strongly preferred. \nExperience working with scripting and configuration technologies such as JavaScript, JSON, or similar languages. \nStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate customer requirements into technical solutions. \nExperience collaborating across Engineering, Product, Customer Success, and other cross-functional teams. \nExcellent communication skills and the ability to work directly with customers when needed. \nPeople who thrive on our team also tend to share the following characteristics: \nCustomer obsessed.
