In this role, you will focus on improving infrastructure reliability, automating deployments, enhancing observability, and enabling engineering teams to develop and deliver software efficiently.\nYou will work closely with Engineering, Security, and other cross-functional teams to ensure our cloud infrastructure is scalable, secure, highly available, and fault tolerant. You will leverage technologies such as AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, Helm, ArgoCD, and Grafana to improve our infrastructure, streamline developer workflows, and drive operational excellence across the platform.\nWhat You'll Do\nIf you were a part of our team, here are some things you would have done last week:\nManage and optimize our AWS cloud infrastructure to ensure scalability, reliability, security, and high availability.\n\nBuild and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to automate infrastructure provisioning and management.\n\nDevelop, improve, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline application builds, testing, and deployments.\n\nDrive GitOps practices and automation using technologies such as Kubernetes, Helm, and ArgoCD.\n\nImprove platform observability by implementing and optimizing monitoring, logging, alerting, and troubleshooting capabilities.\n\nBuild internal tools and automation that improve developer productivity, reduce manual processes, and enable engineering teams to deploy software more efficiently.\n\nPartner with engineering teams to establish DevOps best practices, improve deployment workflows, and strengthen platform reliability.\n\nIdentify and resolve infrastructure performance bottlenecks, operational inefficiencies, and potential points of failure.\n\nParticipate in a shared 24/7 on-call rotation to support production infrastructure and troubleshoot critical incidents.\n\nOwn and drive infrastructure projects that contribute to the long-term scalability, stability, and health of the Mark43 platform.\n\nWhat We Expect From You\n5+ years of professional experience in a DevOps, Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or related infrastructure-focused role.\n\nStrong hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud infrastructure.\n\nExperience designing, building, and maintaining automated CI/CD pipelines for application builds, testing, and deployments.\n\nProficiency with Infrastructure as Code technologies, particularly Terraform.\n\nExperience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.\n\nExperience implementing and maintaining monitoring, logging, observability, and alerting solutions.\n\nFamiliarity with GitOps practices and deployment automation tools such as ArgoCD.\n\nExperience with scripting or programming to automate infrastructure operations, improve developer workflows, and build internal tooling.\n\nStrong understanding of cloud infrastructure reliability, scalability, security, and compliance best practices.\n\nAbility to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and proactively identify opportunities to improve system performance and reliability.\n\nStrong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently, take ownership of technical projects, and partner effectively with engineering teams.\n\nWhat You Can Expect From Us\nWorking with a team that respects and embraces your ideas and expertise.\n\nBuilding mission-critical and socially responsible software to enable first responders to better serve their communities.\n\nContributing to the advancement of public safety software across Local, State, Federal, and DoD agencies.\n\nOpportunities for career growth in an environment where your achievements will be celebrated.\n\nAn organization investing in its people to support our continued growth, with excellent benefits and a strong long-term strategy.\n\nWorking towards a worthwhile mission with a team of friendly and intelligent coworkers.\n\nConstant collaboration within the Platform Division and with other teams, including Product, Engineering, Security, and Technical Services.\n\nMark43 is approved to hire in Canada, the UK, and 36 U.S. states, including Alabama, Arizona, California (excluding San Francisco), Colorado, Connecticut, Washington D.C., Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, North Carolina, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Vermont, Washington, Wisconsin, and West Virginia.
