This collaborative environment delivers FRESH THINKING, reassuring our customers that they choose the best when they choose to work with the people of Dover Food Retail.\nJob Title: Assembler II \nLocation: Conyers, GA\nWhat we’re looking for:\nWe are looking for an Assembler II who will be responsible for working cooperatively as part of a production team to manufacture and assemble high quality Glass, Doors, Frames and Subcomponents. Must follow the work orders and SOP’s to meet daily safety, quality, productivity, and delivery targets.\nWhat you’ll be responsible for in this role:\nResponsible for the assembly or production of component parts into sub-assemblies, assemblies, and completed units adhering to the assembly traveler/standard work instructions.\nJobs require the use of hand tools, electric tools, and pneumatic tools.\nMaintains acceptable performance standards for assembly, production, quality, safety, and housekeeping.\nAll assembly operators are required to maintain their work area and common areas within the area in a clean and orderly condition by practicing 6-S as part of a plant-wide program.\nPerforms minor adjustments or setups to equipment or machines under supervision.\nInspects parts or completed units by using visual inspection, gages, tape measures, check fixtures, calipers, or other inspection equipment.\nReports defective materials or questionable conditions to their lead person or department supervisor \nMust be able to follow SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures) where provided as well as follow instructions from lead and supervisors\nCross training of team members and processes and assist with production as needed.\nPerforms a variety of assembly or production duties with minimal supervision.\nWhat are the basic qualifications?\nHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED)\n1 -2 years of production assembly work\nTo be a great fit for the role:\nBasic reading/writing skills\nBasic PC skills\nBasic math skills\nAbility to read a tape measure and understand fractions and decimals\nGood communication skills\nUnderstanding of 6S\nAbility to read and understand all job specifications\nAbility to lift up to 50 pounds\nAbility to stand, walk and/or sit for long periods of time\nAbility to handle multiple assignments simultaneously in a fast-paced and complex environment.\nTeam oriented individual who is flexible and adaptable to an ever-changing environment.\nHow We Define Our Values and Why You Should Join Our Team:\nThe backbone behind our collection of outstanding businesses is a team of dedicated employees who protect and enhance our valued reputation for quality and delivering what we promise.
