This position supports production uptime by executing preventive and corrective maintenance tasks, planning scheduled work, coordinating resources and parts availability, and assisting with continuous improvement initiatives. The Maintenance Planner Technician works collaboratively with maintenance leadership and operations teams to ensure maintenance activities are completed safely, efficiently, and with minimal disruption to production.\nESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:\nFollow all safety policies, procedures, and safe work practices including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), PPE requirements, machine guarding, and OSHA compliance standards.\nPerform troubleshooting, repair, installation, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment, facility systems, and infrastructure.\nRespond quickly and effectively to maintenance requests and equipment breakdowns.\nPerform preventive and predictive maintenance activities on mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and automated systems.\nTroubleshoot and repair PLC-controlled and automated equipment.\nDiagnose and repair paint line systems, conveyors, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and production machinery.\nPerform maintenance welding using electric arc or gas processes as required.\nInstall, relocate, and commission new machinery and equipment.\nMaintain facility systems including electrical, compressed air, water, hydraulic, pneumatic, and welding gas systems.\nRepair and maintain the physical structure of the facility as needed.\nOperate maintenance equipment including forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts, and other powered industrial equipment.\nMaintain clean, organized, and safe maintenance work areas.\nMaintenance Planning & CMMS Responsibilities:\nAdminister and maintain the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).\nCreate, prioritize, schedule, and track maintenance work orders.\nCoordinate planned maintenance activities with production and operations teams.\nDevelop, maintain, and continuously improve the preventive maintenance program.\nEnsure maintenance procedures, work instructions, and PM documentation are accurate and up to date.\nAssist in planning labor requirements and maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.\nEnsure required spare parts, tools, and materials are available prior to scheduled maintenance activities.\nAssist with spare parts inventory management and MRO inventory control.\nEnter purchase requisitions and track orders through Oracle or applicable purchasing systems.\nCoordinate outside contractors and service providers as directed by maintenance leadership.\nTrack maintenance performance metrics and prepare maintenance reports as required.\nMaintain maintenance logs, TPM records, and regulatory documentation.\nLog labor hours and completed work activities within the CMMS system.\nAssist in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives utilizing structured problem-solving methodologies.\nComplete all assigned work orders and projects within established timelines.\nPerform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.\nOTHER FUNCTIONS:\nSafety:\nObserve and maintain all safety requirements. Promote safe work practices and actively contribute to maintaining a safe work environment. Participate in safety programs, audits, and committee activities as required.\nEthics & Work Standards:\nMaintain the highest ethical and professional standards while promoting accountability, integrity, and professionalism in all business activities and interactions.\nCommunication:\nCommunicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Maintain accurate records and reports. Provide timely updates regarding maintenance status, concerns, and project progress.\nTeamwork/Relationships:\nWork collaboratively with maintenance personnel, operations, engineering, vendors, and other departments to support operational goals and improve equipment reliability.\nContinual Improvement & Problem Resolution:\nIdentify opportunities for improvement in equipment reliability, maintenance procedures, planning efficiency, and cost reduction. Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.\nAccountability:\nAccept responsibility for assigned maintenance tasks, planning functions, and maintenance initiatives. Balance urgency, quality, and productivity while meeting deadlines and operational objectives.\nTraining:\nMaintain and improve technical skills in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, automation, and maintenance planning disciplines.\nWORKING CONDITIONS:\nMust be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation, including but not limited to:\nWorking in loud manufacturing environments.\nWorking overtime, weekends, holidays, or alternate shifts as required.\nWorking at heights and outdoors in varying weather conditions.\nExposure to hot, cold, wet, oily, or dirty environments.\nFrequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, reaching, twisting, and lifting.\nUse of powered hand tools, vibratory tools, and maintenance equipment.\nLifting and handling parts, tools, and equipment up to 75 pounds occasionally and 50 pounds frequently.\nCONTACTS (Internal and External):\nInteracts extensively with manufacturing personnel, maintenance staff, engineering, operations leadership, purchasing, external contractors, suppliers, and vendors.\nJOB SPECIFICATIONS:\nEducation:\nAssociate degree or technical certification in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, Electrical Technology, or related field preferred. Equivalent work experience may be considered.\nExperience:\nMinimum 3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience preferred.\nExperience with maintenance planning and scheduling in a manufacturing environment preferred.\nStrong troubleshooting skills involving mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, PLC, and relay logic systems.\nExperience using CMMS systems for work order management and preventive maintenance scheduling.\nAbility to read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical schematics.\nWorking knowledge of spare parts inventory and MRO purchasing processes preferred.\nExperience with Oracle or similar ERP systems preferred.\nTechnical Skills:\nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.\nStrong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to prioritize multiple tasks and coordinate maintenance activities effectively.\nPersonal Tool Requirements:\nEmployee must provide tools necessary to perform maintenance duties, including:\nStandard mechanical hand tools\nVoltage tester\nWelding hood and related PPE\nSupervision:\nReports directly to the Maintenance Manager or Maintenance Supervisor. Works independently with minimal supervision while coordinating with maintenance and operations teams.\nResponsibility:\nExercises moderate to high degree of judgment in maintenance execution, planning, scheduling, and troubleshooting activities.
