This collaborative environment delivers FRESH THINKING, reassuring our customers that they choose the best when they choose to work with the people of Dover Food Retail.\nJob Title: Shipping & Receiving Clerk II\nLocation: South Chesterfield, VA\nWhat we are looking for:\nThe primary responsibility of this position is to coordinate the loading and unloading of finished cases onto trailers for customer delivery or movement between Hillphoenix facilities as needed.\nWhat you will be responsible for in this role:\nCoordinates with third party vendors and internal vendors the shipment of finished goods to customer sites.\nHandles all shipping paperwork to ensure all shipments are delivered to their destination within set parameters. \nEnters all shipment/freight information in the computer for tracking purposes.\nCompletes required international paperwork for shipment.\nWorks with the internal team when customer issues and/or returned product is sent back due to damages, etc.\nDirects loading team to load and unload based on shipping schedule and shipment demands\nHas working knowledge of inventory to determine where material is and make necessary communication to the appropriate teams. \nCommunicates with over the road drivers\nWilling to help the team in other areas\nMust be proficient in all Microsoft Office Suite programs; MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.\nWorking knowledge of company ERP systems, such as AS400 or SAP\nPerforms other related duties and assignments as required. \nOther duties as assigned\nWhat are the basic qualifications?\nHigh School Diploma/GED\n2+ years of relevant work experience\nProficient in Microsoft Office Suite/Teams\nAbility to lift 50 pounds plus bending, twisting or lifting from awkward positions or in tight spaces, must be able to push and pull cases in excess of 200lbs to 800lbs repetitiously.\nTo be a great fit for the role:\nWillingness to go above and beyond for the customer to ensure a premium experience.\nAbility to multi-task in a fast paced environment.\nSound understanding of commercial enterprise, freight transportations, and bill of ladings.\nExperience with AS400.\nPrevious experience working with freight carriers.\nExperience communicating with cross functions and vendors.\nFamiliar with basic accounting\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and talk or hear.\nThe employee is frequently required to walk and reach with hands and arms.
