Headquartered in Austin, TX, DFS has a significant technology development and manufacturing presence worldwide, including facilities in Brazil, China, India, Italy, Poland, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and the United States.\nJob Responsibilities\nDevelop and debug source code which includes:\nDeveloping ASP.net web applications - HTML, CSS, JavaScript and C#\nData driven Web Services for IIS and MS-SQL\nCreate and consume RESTful API calls as per requirements\nDeveloping user friendly front-end web applications using Angular\nDevelop SSRS reports as per client requirement\nRequirements collection from internal, external clients and documentation\nDesign, document, development, optimize, performance tuning of custom applications\nUnit testing and debugging of applications in various stages of development life cycle\nWork collaboratively with peers in all the stages of development life cycle\nWrite, review and recommend optimization techniques for SQL queries and stored procedures\nProduce documentation of code functionality and features consistently throughout development cycle.\nParticipate proactively in requirements analysis and design reviews\nPerform peer code reviews to discover issues and recommend changes that improve software quality\nKeeping positive attitude and contributing to team effort\nPerform additional software development duties as required\nMentor Jr. Software engineers\nProduce quality software documentation:\nDesign\nUnit test plans\nParticipate in code reviews, assist in testing the developed software and provide support for field problems\n Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent.\nMinimum 3 years’ experience in software development with an emphasis on web applications development using - HTML, CSS, Java, JavaScript and C#\nExperience creating multi-threaded applications using C#, .NET Framework, and MS-SQL\nExperience with RESTful APIs, JSON, jQuery, Angular\nKnowledge of IIS and experience in creating and consuming web services\nExperience in creating Point of Sale or Shopping cart applications a major plus\nExperience in developing complex custom reports using SSRS\nExperience in developing RS232/USB drivers for various device components, a major plus\nExperience in MS-SQL, Entity framework, LINQ (SQL commands, Triggers, Stored Procedures) a plus\nTroubleshooting and problem solving of MS-SQL server and databases a plus\nMust have proven experience in a process-oriented development environment with excellent knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)\nProven track record of producing high-quality software\nExcellent troubleshooting skills and resolve software issues in a timely manner\nGood organizational and inter-personnel communication skills\nWork Environment\nExcellent benefits package with health, dental, vision, disability & life insurance.
