We are currently looking for a Fiber Assembly Technician to join our growing TEAM! The ideal candidate has passion, the know-how, and the desire to take behind-the-scenes customer service to the next level. It’s a responsive and responsible attitude that our customers count on.\nAll Fiber Assembly Technicians are trained in basic fiber optic theory, termination and cable processing tasks and procedures. Showing great aptitude to complete those steps the ideal candidate could then be trained on the fiber polishing process.\nKey Responsibilities:\nCreating high quality products in a timely manner. \nAssemblers are required to take ownership of their work and provide mechanical inspection and basic continuity testing before submitting work for final test and approval. \nEmployees are required to demonstrate knowledge and experience in detailed oriented jobs, and accuracy with numbers and part numbers. \nCommunicate effectively with team leader to continuously establish and improve quality on the assembly line. \nPolished work should be complete and free of any microscopic contamination, residual glue, process slurry, and diamond particles from lapping films. \nTeam oriented \nRequired Skills & Experience:\nAble to read and understand internal procedures and policies \nAble to understand and follow through on both verbal and written instructions. \nTeam oriented with a continuous improvement outlook. \nAble to communicate courteously and professionally at all organizational levels \nMechanically proficient \nPossess solid math, time management, and computer skills \nWork in an environment that is a casual clean room \nRegularly required to work near moving mechanical parts on cable reeler \nAble to move and/or lift up to 75 lbs. - instruction required on safe lifting practices \nFrequently required to walk, sit, use hands and hand tools \nOur fiber lab is a casual clean environment that offers state of the art manufacturing equipment. \nPosition Details\nLocation: Saugerties, NY\nPaid time off\nMedical/Vision\nDental\n401-k\nEOE\n100% Employee-Owned Company\n*This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
